Ministers could be given the power to dismiss their most senior civil servants and bring in US-style political appointees to drive through policy


Another step in the insidious advance of dictatorship in this country. Not only are they not content with having a 5 year dictatorship voted in  by less than 40% of the people, they seek to install lackeys and henchmen into the civil service.Soon they will be seeking to scrap elections completely and all in the name of "modernisation" and "reform".
