Ed Balls was part of Brown and Miliband's contribution to the decline of the Labour Party.

Ed Balls new book condemns Jeremy Corbyn’s "leftist utopian fantasy”

and remains in denial of his part in the decline of Labour over the past ten years.

Not very long ago, during the last Labour government, it was stated in the media and on television programmes at the time, that Ed Balls was the best economist that the Labour party had. Well, he did not read the same text books or attend lectures with the same tutors as I did.

New Agenda on Sunday. is out! Edition of 28 August 2016

Good morning everyone.

There seems to be a slight "technical glitch" on the "New Agenda on Sunday" web page. Consequently, it may not be possible to open the paper at the moment. However, keep trying because there are some interesting stories in this weeks edition.

You may recall how last week Christina Patterson, of sneering facial expression and patronising attitude fame, won the prize of the week for calling me and 600,000 odd other people, "nutters", "mad", "insane" and "stupid" on the Sky News paper preview on the Saturday night. She was back on the sofa again this Saturday, this week with Matthew Sayed, and takes another "Prize of the week" for making another comment, in the same vein but now reduced to personal insult. Whether you like Corbyn or not, personal insults of this nature are never acceptable. In an extraordinary eruption of personal abuse, she admitted paying her £3.00 to vote for Owen Smith, but he had drifted off to "the left". As for the other candidate she said that she "would rather vote for a jam jar than that nutter Corbyn".

A comment which had Niall Paterson, the Sky News presenter, and Matthew Sayed rolling around in fits of laughter.
It seems that personal abuse and insults are completely acceptable on Sky News and some other media channels, particularly when levelled against Jeremy Corbyn. There would be outrage and indignation, were the same degree of contempt used during interviews or presentations against any other person. It is incredible that Sky television, persists in inviting Patterson back for further press reviews when she has demonstrated such awful behaviour on other occasions. Rude, patronising, personally abusive and obnoxious, it seems that she is competing with Katie Hopkins for the title of the "Most despicable person in the media world".
Sky television and its News programmes can't get enough of her.

It emerged this week, that NHS bosses throughout England are "quietly" drawing up plans for hospital closures, cutbacks and radical changes to the way healthcare is delivered. The "proposals", some of which are planned to be implemented as early as October following, "local consultation," include ward as well as hospital closures, closure of acute units, and scaling down of general care provision. These measure are theoretically proposed to plug a whole in NHS funding budgets and to meet a projected financial shortfall of £20 billion by the end of this parliament.
NHS bosses are fronting this latest attack on health provision in this country, but there is no doubt that the hand of Jeremy Hunt is concealed within the glove and behind him is the shadowy figure of Theresa May, continuing the long held Conservative objective of smashing the NHS and replacing it with a two (or even three) tier Privatised healthcare scheme, designed to produce profits for their business friends and contributors at the expense of ordinary people who rely upon the health services.

An ongoing row about train seats seems to have dominated interest, at least as far as the media and television are concerned. This whole "story" is nothing more than a very small storm in a cup of Virgin Trains coffee, but is (as expected) seized upon by elements of a hostile media, embellished and blown out of all proportion to satisfy their own agenda's.

I have been giving some thought to the American Presidential election, due to take place in November. It has occurred to me that there is a solution to this dilemma. Arrest Clinton for whatever charge the FBI actually want to press and make stick, then declare Trump as unstable and therefore not fit to hold public office. Having removed both candidates from the Presidential race, the American people can then try to find another two candidates, from amongst their 300 million odd population, for the Republican or Democratic ticket.
Surely among all those American there must be a better choice of Presidential hopefuls than these two specimens

The Philip Green and BHS saga rumbles on. It seems that he is prepared to stump up some money (amount unspecified) for the BHS Pension fund, but only on condition that regulators will abandon a probe into‎ BHS's vast pension deficit. The arrogant gall of this discredited "entrepreneur" is breathtaking.

The last "Bank Holiday" weekend before Christmas is almost over. Where has 2016 disappeared to? It seem only a few weeks ago that we were welcoming a "New Year" !

Weather changeable and getting warmer we are told.

Have a nice week.

Personal abuse is acceptable on Sky Television News

Christina Patterson:  "I would rather vote for a jam jar than that nutter Corbyn".

Christina Patterson

Christina Patterson, with the sneering expression and patronising attitude was on the sofa of Sky News paper review again last night.
I criticised this obnoxious "freelance journalist" on my Blog last Sunday, for calling me and the 600,000 odd other members of the Labour Party, "nutters", "mad", "insane" and "stupid", during her rant on last Saturday's (20th August) Sky News paper review. It seems that Sky cannot get enough of this odious person, as she was invited back to share the sofa on last nights (27th August) show with Mathew Sayed, who at one stage revealed that he was "of the right" of the Labour Party and once stood as a candidate, but quickly distanced himself from the present party leadership and direction.

Matthew Sayed

On this weeks programme, Patterson over stepped the mark. In an extraordinary eruption of personal abuse, she admitted paying her £3.00 to vote for Owen Smith, but he had drifted off to "the left". As for the other candidate she said that she "would rather vote for a jam jar than that nutter Corbyn".

Niall Peterson thought it was funny

A comment which reduced Niall Paterson, the Sky News presenter, and Matthew Sayed to fits of laughter.

As the Labour party descends into chaos, the Conservative government presses on with its plan to dismantle our NHS.

NHS plans closures and radical cuts to combat growing deficit in health budget
Image result for NHS plans closures and radical cuts

The conspirators of the Parliamentary Labour Party, now openly aided by elements of the National Executive Committee and Labour Party hierarchy, are determined to destroy the party and to stop the democratic process of the leadership election. A process which they themselves instigated when their first coup attempt failed, is now falling apart, as their "Stooge Candidate" Owen Smith, is exposed at every hustings debate, as a lightweight naive figure, only on the platform as a leadership contender, because no other member of the conspiratorial PLP had the backbone to challenge Corbyn themselves.

Owen Smith: The lightweight and naive "Stooge Candidate"

The latest tactic, emanating this time from elements within the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party, seems to be a shabby and even more disturbing sinister, attempt to postpone Annual Conference, presumably to disrupt the leadership process and prevent the newly elected NEC members from taking their positions. Against the background of discredited people, clinging desperately to the reins of "power", suspending members without explanation, banning sections of the membership from voting, applying rules without regard for consistency or fairness and more concerned with their own positions within the party, the Conservative press on with their pursuit of creating a State for the few at the expense of the many. The "plotters" from some sections of the Labour Party are allowing the destruction of our society to take place, and apart from a few voices of protest, without any opposition or resistance.

NHS takes axe to hospitals.

The most recent and perhaps the most alarming assault against the people of this country, are revealed today, where NHS bosses throughout England are "quietly" drawing up plans for hospital closures, cutbacks and radical changes to the way healthcare is delivered.

For as long as the futility of the struggle within the Labour party continue, so will the Conservative government be emboldened in their drive to create a society in their own image. The dismantling of the NHS is but one feature of this new "Conservative Utopia". The removal of working peoples rights, the destruction of civil liberties, the erosion of consumer protection and many other aspects of our society, will systematically become part of every day life in the United Kingdom.
The Labour party management and those elements with the Parliamentary Labour Party so resolved to remove Jeremy Corbyn and the current leadership, must today stop the open-ended hostility towards the membership of our movement and against the democratic processes of our party.

Jeremy Corbyn. Straight talking. Honest politics.

The British people will never forget, nor will they ever forgive a party which through the vanity and self ambition of a few, brought about the destruction of a movement, created by working people for working people and their families, and allowed, by default, the party of privilege, wealth and business, to continue and expand their programmes of exploitation and excesses against our society.
The British people will never forget nor will they ever forgive and we in the Labour party will have deserted the very people that we seek to represent.

The anti Corbyn campaign stiring up a storm in a coffee cup.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/08/23/revealed-jeremy-corbyn-had-a-seat-during-train-journey-he-claime/

The Telegraph says that: "Jeremy  Corbyn had a seat during the train journey he suggested was so "ram packed" that he had to sit on the floor.

Note the "reserved" notices pinned to the seats.

For crying out loud! What is it with these people?
Corbyn's people say the seats were full or reserved. No they were not! screams Sir Richard Branson, we have a video! The seats were full says people on the train. The Mail, Telegraph, The i, The Times share a common thread that Jeremy Corbyn is completely discredited and his leadership is in tatters Mrs Dromey, aka Harriet Harman, on behalf of the 172 plotters and their supporters and never slow to miss an opportunity for a snide dig, admits that she has "no idea what's going on", but feels that Jeremy is damaged.

Harriet Harman. "I have no idea what's going on"

This whole "story" is nothing more than a very small storm in a cup of Virgin Trains coffee, but is (as expected) seized upon by elements of a hostile media, embellished and blown out of all proportion to derail Corbyn and discredit his leadership.

Harman of course, either by accident or design, walks straight into the Sky News web of duplicitous "journalism" admitting on air that she does not know anything about the incident but will never the less take the opportunity to offer another disparaging remark in the conspirators long running campaign to force Corbyn to step down.
Grasping at any straw, no matter how weak or feeble such straw may be, with which to attack the leadership of the Labour party, clearly demonstrates the decaying plight of the anti Corbyn camp as they scramble for continuing justification in their miserable campaign.

Seeking to restore the "good old days" of Parliamentary Labour Party dominance.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/aug/22/corbyn-v-smith-labour-leader-voting-system-democratic-car-crash

Corbyn v Smith for Labour's next leader, but being a winner is not enough.

Says Anne Perkins.

Jeremy Corbyn and Owen Smith

The Guardian continues on its compulsive campaign to undermine and remove Jeremy Corbyn from the Labour party leadership. In this self appointed role as the "Champion of the Parliamentary Labour Party", the Guardian will, and does, use any tool available to it or any argument, no matter how tenuous such argument may be, as the media mouthpiece for any disaffected MP with their own agenda, or for individuals who seek to erode support for the Corbyn leadership. The tool for today’s assault is the "Opinion" section of the newspaper, where the editorial staff and the proprietor can shelter behind the shield of denial that the "Opinion" as printed is that of the writer, not necessarily of the paper. A very shallow defence which deceives nobody.

Anne Perkins

Anne Perkins (a leader writer, lobby correspondent and feature writer for the Guardian since 1997) provides a not very well disguised argument for the restoration of the dominant position of the Parliamentary Labour Party as the centre of power of the Labour Party as in the "good old days" of Blair and then Brown. Admittedly, she does criticise the PLP under Miliband for supporting the revisions to the voting system (a decision they now bitterly regret) which let the genie out of the bottle and produced a Jeremy Corbyn landslide victory last September. The "official" Guardian line is to support Owen Smith and rubbish Corbyn, but Anne Perkins, perhaps indicating where the Guardian is actually heading, suggests dumping both candidates at some point, and then at some point soon, changing the party election rules to ensure that the membership of the party, all 600,000 plus of them are deprived of "one member one vote", and are reduced to a secondary, less influential role in electing the leader of their party.
Who ever emerges as the winner of the leadership ballot in September, it is abundantly clear that Anne Perkins will not be content. Nor will the 172 conspirators of the Parliamentary Labour Party, who will continue to plot and scheme for the overthrow of the democratically elected leader, and changes to the electoral rules to bring about the restoration of their dominant position in party structure, policy and leadership. In this task they already have an enthusiastic supporter in media propaganda in the shape of the "Guardian". It now seems that "independent" opinion writers are being brought into the fray to bolster their futile ambitions.

The Parliamentary Labour Party conspirators are hatching another coup.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/corbyn-labour-leadership-rebel-mps-a7202641.html

Labour MPs plan for Corbyn victory and plot how to confront an emboldened leader

Even for the "Independent", the number and use of unnamed anonymous "sources" in this article is quite astonishing. However, amongst all the usual speculative delusion, there is one factor which causes concern to anyone who believes in the Labour Party, its principles and in he democratic process of the Labour movement. It is abundantly clear that elements within the Parliamentary Labour Party, are even now, planning another coup in the event that Jeremy Corbyn should emerge as winner in the current ballot. The failed coup of earlier this year, has now descended into a sham leadership election, because the conspirators still fail to accept the democratic decision of the Labour party membership and cling to their over inflated view of their own ego's and the belief that they have some "Divine right of Kings" to hold all power in the Labour Party. In much the same way as these egoists plotted and planned the overthrow of Corbyn, even before the 2015 leadership election, they now scheme and conspire to undermine and remove Corbyn after the result of this leadership election is declared.
Regardless of what reasons they may present as justification for their duplicitous acts, no matter how much the media and television may support and encourage them, their real motivation is as clear as crystal. They seek only to retain power in their immediate circle, the continuation of the "status quo" as in the days of Blair, Brown and more latterly Miliband Minor. The continuation of the policies which were roundly rejected by the electorate at the most recent General elections.
The plotters have no respect for the Labour Party, its membership or for the democratic processes being concerned only with clinging on to their privileged positions and all that goes with it. Even their constant references to the "unelectable Jeremy Corbyn" and "electorate" has a hollow ring. The electorate has never been given a clear distinct choice between the parties. They have been offered "austerity" from the Conservatives or "austerity" in a different coloured box by the Labour party. All that is set to change and the Parliamentary Labour Party are petrified.

I would have thought that after the election result is declared on September 24th, we could then concentrate on attacking the real enemy of people in this country, instead of targeting our own colleagues on the Labour benches. The people of this country are in desperate need of a Labour government to roll back the excesses of this conservative administration and the ConDem coalition which preceded it. Alas, it seems that the personal ambitions and duplicitous scheming of some in the Parliamentary Labour Party will significantly hinder the improvements in our society that most of us in the Labour party and the wider electorate seek to create.

New Agenda on Sunday. is out! Edition of 21 August 2016

Good morning everyone.

A "door stepping" attempt at the interview on Sky television was quite revealing. Philip Green (I have already stripped him of his title), living the life of luxury aboard the newest and most expensive of his yachts. A £100 million yacht paid for, in part, from the "missing" £ millions from the BHS pension funds, and the £ millions from rents and dividends paid directly to his wife.
No body really cares if Green felt uncomfortable being "doorstepped" by a reporter. He has no shame or conscience, and deserves every degree of discomfort that the press, MP's and public opinion can heap on him. Odious and supercilious man, who should spend every night worrying about when and how fate and justice will come knocking at his door.

On the 18th June 1984, a violent confrontation took place between police and pickets at a British Steel Corporation coking plant in Orgreave, South Yorkshire. The details and the aftermath of "the riot" are well documented elsewhere. A video by a woman who was there and was violently assaulted on the day, and which is well worth viewing, can be found at https://www.facebook.com/OrgreaveTruthAndJusticeCampaign/videos/278513722307154/.
The purpose of mentioning this event, is that even now, 32 years after the events of that day, there has been no public enquiry or investigation. The same police force, and many of the individuals concerned are the same characters involved in the conspiracy and cover up of the Hillsborough disaster of 25th April 1989. It took more than 27 years for the truth surrounding the events of that day to be revealed. An enquiry into the events at Orgreave on 18th June 1984, is well overdue.

It has been a bad week for television presenters and newspaper "reviewers". At least a bad week as far as I am concerned. I discovered that Sky News had sacked Lorna Dunkley in what was described as a cost saving exercise (but more probably due to the fact that she refused to toe the Sky news line of bias and misrepresentation in their "story" lines), and yet had retained the services of Kay Burley and Anna Botting! Other television media "personalities" who have received my wrath this week include Victoria Derbyshire, Dermot Monaghan, Cathy Newman. They all share the dubious "honour" of being rude, patronising, biased and very full of their own importance. It is as if being a presenter on television gives them the right to talk over or shout down anyone who they are supposed to be interviewing. However, the prize of the week goes to a newspaper "reviewer" on Sky News sofa (with Ruth Lee) on Saturday evening. According to Christina Patterson, I and the 600,000 odd other members of the Labour Party are "nutters". Patterson, is the "freelance journalist" with the constant sneering facial expression and intensely patronising attitude, often seen on the sofa in Sky News television studio, reviewing the papers. Not only are we "nutters", but we are also "mad", "insane" and "stupid" for being members of a party which, according to Patterson, is destined for political oblivion. She is of course entitled to her opinion, but she is not entitled to spread insults and venom when there is no opportunity for anyone to respond.

West Bay

Five people died this weekend, swimming in rough seas or just standing on the rocks watching the huge waves. Also there was a huge rockfall from the cliffs at West Bay. Within minutes, morons were climbing the fallen rocks and scaling the cliff face. There is even television footage of one dangling her feet over the cliff top immediately above the fall.
Is there no end to human stupidity?

Has summer finished now? It is still warm, humid and wet with cold snaps but I am keeping the fans handy.

Have a nice week

John
