Capacity constraints at Heathrow Airport are restricting the UK's economic potential, a report by MPs has said.
"Bad for business" ! Never mind the hundreds of homes that would be demolished to make way for this monstrosity. Never mind the disruption to peoples lives with the increased pollution from noise, traffic and transport congestion. Never mind the devastating effect on the environment and wild life in the area. This and more is of little consequence to the business must come first lobby. For far too long, people have been dominated, abused and dismissed by the greed and self interest of the business community. The argument that developments such as the third runway at Heathrow is good for the economy, as it will bring jobs and increased trade opportunities has always been a load of garbage generated by the business community to conceal their real objective of generating more profit with the minimum of cost to themselves. More over, it is clearly obvious that these "developments" do not effect those people demanding the "improvements" or the vested interests of politicians supporting and lobbying for the schemes. Ironically, it is the people who are most effected who actually pay for the devastation in terms of taxes, compulsory purchases, loss of homes, loss of environment and facilities.Business and the pro lobby can take their third runway proposals, shove it.....and build another airport (if it is absolutely necessary, which I doubt) somewhere else.
