Welcome to New Agenda

New Agenda.

It is Monday 5th March 2012 and this morning, just to prove that there is a mysterious phenomenon existing under the name of “Murphy's Law”, the Internet connection will only work in -1st gear. Of course this means that to connect to my bookmarked pages for news and comment , or my Twitter pages, or perhaps most annoyingly New Agenda, I have to wait with bated breath for nearly 20 minutes for each stage of the connection, and even then its incomplete.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH BT !!
Stop prating about with the lines and get the fibre optic in NOW. We who live in the “sticks” are just as worthy of good internet connection as those who live in Canary Warf or even Downing Street.
Open Reach ??? more like Open mouth in stunned disbelief.

Is this finally the end for Prime Minister Theresa May?

Theresa May is best forgotten as she finally falls on sword.

Theresa May falls on her sword says the Mirror and the Telegraph but subject to certain qualifications, which could see her still hanging around if "Her Deal" is ruled out by the speaker,or is again defeated in a vote. Just goes to show that when it comes to falling on a sword, she couldn't even get that right.

PM in complete denial losing her grip on power and on reality. The Prime Minister Theresa May, is now in complete denial of the reality in which she finds herself. In much the same way as a child threatens to take its ball and go home, the Prime Minister again writes to all MP's, threatening that the THIRD "Meaningful Vote", may not be put before the commons next week unless there is substantial support from MP's to pass it. In order to reinforce this threat, the Prime Minister  repeats her 4 points from the meeting with the other EU leaders in Brussels. 1. We can revoke Article 50 - but that would be to betray the result of the referendum.2. We can leave with no deal on 12 April - but the House has previously said this is not something it will support.3. If it appears that there is not sufficient support to bring the deal back next week, or the House re…

The "antisemitism" argument is just an excuse.

Labour needs 'seismic change' or party will fall into decline

Watching the newspaper previews on television last night, one of the reviewers made a comment which was certainly missed, probably by design, by his co previewer and the presenter and I should think by many of the viewers at home. The story under review was the Telegraph front page coverage of Baron Blunkett's intervention in the on going "anti semitism" row within the Labour party. The reviewer commented, as many of us have remarked on in the past, that all the criticism leveled at the party leadership on this issue, has originated from that section commonly described as the Blairite wing of the Labour party. Blunkett argues "Either Jeremy Corbyn can lead a party into gradual decline and irrelevance, or demonstrate that he can lead a party fit for Government", much in the same vein as oth…
