Priti Patel blames Labour for failure of conservative government policy.

Priti Patel blames Jeremy Corbyn for the failure of government policy to control immigration.

Blaming Jeremy Corbyn for everything descended to new depths of absurdity on Question Time (BBC Television 10:45. 29th September) last night when panellist Priti Patel, who was born in London to a Ugandan Indian migrant family, stated that immigration to this country is out of control with vast numbers of migrants arriving almost daily, placing an intolerable burden on housing, jobs, social services and the infrastructure of our society. The cause of this problem is, according to Patel, the absolute failure of Jeremy Corbyn to control the numbers of migrants, arriving in this country from Europe and additionally as refugees from outside, and the failure of his policies on immigration. The problem will, according to Patel, deteriorate as Corbyn's policy of allowing uncontrolled numbers of migrants unfolds over time, allowing more and more people to arrive in this country as her parents did in the 1960's, fleeing from persecution in Idi Amin's Uganda. Priti Patel you may remember, made a great point of criticising uncontrolled immigration and the disastrous effect that this was having on the economy of the United Kingdom, during the recent Referendum campaign where she was a prominent member of the "Brexit" camp.

Question Time Chair, David Dimbleby

The great deficiency in Patel's case against Jeremy Corbyn as she presented last night, was the simple but momentous fact, a fact that David Dimbleby and the rest of the panel, (either by accident or design) failed to mention, is that Jeremy Corbyn has been leader of the Labour Party for just over 12 months and consequently, as leader of the opposition, has and is, not responsible for this or any other area of conservative government policy.
Priti Patel on the other hand, was elected as Member of Parliament for Witham in 2010 and thus has been sitting on government benches throughout her parliamentary career. She would therefore share responsibility for the failure of her conservative government to control immigration to this country, a failure going back over at least the last 7 years.

Blaming the Labour party generally and Jeremy Corbyn in particular, has become the usual practice over recent years with media and television leaning over backwards in their attempts to discredit the party and the leader. However, the nonsense disappears into complete farce when the factual content of the "criticism" is so glaringly preposterous.

Northern Ireland and Brexit. The return of "The Troubles"

Northern Ireland: police attacked in another night of disturbances | Northern Ireland | The Guardian When the "Brexit" debate was still filling our newspapers and our television screens, readers may remember why I had changed my mind since voting to leave at the referendum vote. Apart from the economic arguments, which had become crystal clear after peeling away all the lies and misrepresentations trotted out by Bozo Boris and his "Get Brexit Done" conspirators, there was always the problem of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Would it be possible to have a border between the European Union and the United Kingdom where people, goods and services could pass freely between the two nations without customs restrictions, tariffs, duties and all the other formalities? Would it be possible to have one part of the United Kingdom treated differently from other parts of the United Kingdom, particularly when Scotland for example had voted overwhe

The Parliamentary Labour Party conspirators are hatching another coup.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/corbyn-labour-leadership-rebel-mps-a7202641.html Labour MPs plan for Corbyn victory  and plot how to confront an emboldened leader Even for the "Independent", the number and use of unnamed anonymous "sources" in this article is quite astonishing. However, amongst all the usual speculative delusion, there is one factor which causes concern to anyone who believes in the Labour Party, its principles and in he democratic process of the Labour movement. It is abundantly clear that elements within the Parliamentary Labour Party, are even now, planning another coup in the event that Jeremy Corbyn should emerge as winner in the current ballot. The failed coup of earlier this year, has now descended into a sham leadership election, because the conspirators still fail to accept the democratic decision of the Labour party membership and cling to

Plemont development or return to nature?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-jersey-  A date has been set for a public inquiry into plans for Plemont Headland. This exceptional location must be sold to the National trust for Jersey, and returned to nature. Any other outcome involving development of the site, can only demonstrate the extent to which greed and self interest have become endemic in Jersey.
