Everyone knows that these "crises", (remember the financial cliff nonsense) are hot air and attention seeking cant, from both the administration and from the congress. Everyone also knows that "at the eleventh hour" a miracle fix will be thrashed out and that the world will keep on turning. We in the UK are not really fixated with American politics and the associated burlesque of congressmen and presidents rushing around looking serious and full of their own perceived importance are we (?). Why the British media and television give so much credibility and coverage to this charade is a mystery.
