This photograph is a condemnation of the "International community" for 68 years of failure.

68 Years of international failure.   Palestinian camp of Yarmouk,Damascus   This is a photograph of a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus. Many of the people that I met from that same refugee camp some years ago, will now no doubt have children of their own. No doubt some of them will have died over the intervenin g years, from disease, from military actions of one sort or another, from malnutrition and some from old age. They are also, now, dying as a direct result of the Syrian civil war and the actions of the "rebels" and from the government forces. This photograph and other images from the besieged Palestinian camp of Yarmouk, are being used by some as justification or excuse for western military intervention "on humanitarian grounds" but all too clearly as a pretext for supporting the opposition forces. The photograph is not a a reason or excuse or reason for intervention in a civil war. The photograph is a condemnation of the inter...

Threats from the "Vote No" camp

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/5c266dd0-9f83-11e3-94f3-00144feab7de.html Standard Life warns on Scots ‘Yes’ vote A rally in support of a yes vote in the Scottish Referendum   More threats and bullying from the "Vote No" camp. Politicians, businesses and others determined to blackmail the Sottish people to reject the concept of independence. When organised workers take a stand for a principle, pay or conditions, they are "holding the country to ransom". When businesses and anti independence politicians use blackmail as a weapon, they are trying to preserve the status quo. Pathetic hypocrites.

All Trade Unions links with the Labour party should be severed completely

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/feb/27/unite-labour-possible-funding-cut  "Unite" to consider cut in affiliation fees. Len McCluskey  general secretary of Unite    The Labour Party was destroyed by Blair, Mandellson, Brown, Campbell and the other conspirators of "New Labour", many of whom still sit in the Commons today. Len McCluskey is stating what many trade unions are now accepting as fact, rather than the rhetoric of Miliband minor and the rest of the party "leadership" are trotting out in seeking to preserve their positions. It is time that the TUC and all affiliated organisation followed the lead of Unite and dumped the Labour party completely.

Ukraine in line for European Union aid package.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-uprising-eu-aims-to-woo-new-leadership-with-aid-deal-9147803.html EU aims to woo new leadership in Ukraine with aid deal Vitali Klitschko, talks to members in the parliament session hall, in Kiev Just like the United States in countless countries around the world, the European Union seeks to buy influence and control outside their own borders with promises of huge sums of money, no doubt to be followed shortly by further promises of military aid, equipment and special economic deals. All this bribery, and no doubt the associated corruption when the "defence equipment" dealers begin to ply their trade in the Ukraine, or whatever remains of that wretched nation at that time, geared to buy influence and further marginalise Putin generally and Russia specifically. The British government of course, is eager to jump on the bandwagon, and promise £millions from our own treasury, not withstanding the fa...

Miliband following Blair.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/21/ed-miliband-change-labour-tony-blair_n_4834119.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Miliband To Radically Change Labour Party Far More Than Blair   Blair and Miliband: Full circle   Miliband has still not grasped the essential truth. The reasons for the disillusionment people feel about politics, the decline in numbers of people voting in elections, the growing perception of a rift between politicians and public has nothing to do with leadership elections within the party, reforms in the relationship between the Trade Union movement and the party or even Prime Ministers Questions in the Commons. The problems result from the inexorable shift in policy direction of the party to the so called "centre ground" in British politics. This shift, to a certain extent commenced by Niel Kinnock but certainly carried to extreme and disastrous lengths by Blair, Mandelsson, Brown and Campbell has resulted in working people, pens...

From Spooks to Line of Duty.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/20/line-of-duty-review-episode-2-keeley-hawes_n_4821889.html 'Line Of Duty'  Keeley Hawes As DI Denton   Keeley Hawes in "Spooks" as Zoe Reynolds   I first saw Keeley Hawes in the terrific "Spooks" as Zoe Reynolds. (She ran off with an Irish photographer, but that's another story), then in the awful remake of "Upstairs Downstairs" which should have been consigned to the dustbin rather than shown on television.  "Lady Agnes Holland": Keeley Hawes in "Upstairs, Downstairs" Ashes to Ashes    Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes were classic series both now in my collection of boxed complete series. First with Sam Tyler and then Alex Drake with Gene Hunt, Ray Carling and Chris Skelton making up the cast for a quality British television series at its best. Line of Duty is following in that tradition.   Keeley Hawes as DI Lindsay Denton, in ...

British Royal family condones a barbaric, medieval autocracy

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/19/prince-charles-sword-dance-pictures_n_4814227.html?utm_hp_ref=uk#comments  Prince Charles Criticised For Taking Part In Saudi Arabian Sword Dance Prince Charles taking part in an "Ardah"   Perhaps Charles discussed and crticised the Saudi involvement in the savage repression of protestors in Bahrain.(Which remains un reported in the western press and media). The Saudi role in the Syrian civil war was also on the agenda for discussion no doubt as was the bribery and corruption associated with the lucrative arms trade between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. For as long as Charles Windsor and the rest of his family support and give comfort to the barbaric regime in Saudi Arabia and other countries with a similar record of repression and abuses of human rights, then so shall such regimes be given a charade of credibility. The Saudi Royal family have been made welcome visitors at Buckingham Palace and Downing Street for...
