Malaysia Airlines MH17 G3 gate of Schiphol Airport i Readers are by now aware that on July 17, 2014, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 flight MH17, crashed in eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board. It has since been established that the most likely cause of the crash was a surface to air missile launched from within the pro-Russian area of eastern Ukraine and probably from pro-Russian rebels holding the area. Since news of the crash became widespread knowledge, reporters from the Western media have been seen on a daily basis filling our television screens with reports from the crash site, Schiphol airport, Kiev, Washington and London. Censorship at the Independent, Guardian and Huffington Post (to name but three) is working overtime at the moment predominately it seems on the subject of the Israeli air strikes and naval bombardment of Gaza and the killing of civilians. Any article, comment or observation even remotely critical of the Israeli government in Tel Aviv, is removed swiftly and without any reason or explanation to the author. The posts just disappear, rather like Palestinians in Hebron or Nablus or Ramalah or a hundred other towns in the occupied territories. This morning I have had personal experience of the Independent, Guardian and Huffington Post censors.
