Investigations of Tory election fraud claims extended, but little media coverage.

http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jun/01/channel-4-leads-the-way-on-tory-election-claims Why is there so little noise about the Tory election fraud claims? Nineteen police forces are currently investigating Tory election fraud  claims The allegations of election fraud are a threat to the conservative party and more importantly to the government. Investigations and prosecutions, which could lead to bye elections and ultimately to the governments loss of its overall majority, must be causing Central Office to have nightmares. Consequently, the conservative hierarchy, Cameron and his gang including those involved in these (alleged) crimes will go to any lengths to disrupt or stop the investigations. Engineering a media "black out" is just one of their tools for this purpose. The recent decisions of the court to grant extension to the investigation time-scale has clearly caused great consternation in conservative circles and they will have to find a ...

A thought for the day.

A friend sent this to my e-mail inbox this morning and I thought that I would share it. "Thought you might find this interesting.  Can you imagine working for a corporate company that only has a little more than 635 employees, but has the following Employee statistics? 29 have been accused of spouse abuse, 7 have been arrested for fraud, 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques, 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses, 3 have done time for assault, 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit, 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges, 8 have been arrested for shoplifting, 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits, 84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year, And collectively, this year alone, they have cost the British tax payer £92,993,748 in expenses! Which organisation is this? Of course; it's the 635 members of the House of Commons. The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to ke...

Ministers plot end to Civil Service neutrality

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/ministers-plot-end-to-civil-service-neutrality-7995033.html Ministers could be given the power to dismiss their most senior civil servants and bring in US-style political appointees to drive through policy Another step in the insidious advance of dictatorship in this country. Not only are they not content with having a 5 year dictatorship voted in  by less than 40% of the people, they seek to install lackeys and henchmen into the civil service.Soon they will be seeking to scrap elections completely and all in the name of "modernisation" and "reform".

The terminal decline of M & S ?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/analysis- The past decade has not been kind to Marks & Spencer, and yesterday the company reported that like-for-like sales in the past quarter had fallen by 2.8 per cent. M & S have been in decline for some years. It seems to stem from the time when a television programme exposed the fact that M & S were sending labels showing "Marks and Spencer: Made in England" to third world countries to be attached to garments made in local sweat shops. There has been a significant fall in quality of the vast majority of their product range over the last few years, and control of consistency, particularly in size range is non existent. Their decline in the high street, may well be terminal, but would not come as a surprise.

Why we should not trust politicians to carry out an inquiry.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/jul/05/balls-osborne Balls and Osborne clash. Why does the Guardian again fail to provide readers with the opportunity to comment on specific issues? This time its the article "Balls and Osborne slug it out in dispatch box "thrilla". Ironically, this item vividly demonstrates why an inquiry into the banking scandal cannot be carried out by politicians with their point scoring politically motivated private agenda's. Collectively, the banks appear to have been involved in criminal activities at the expense of their customers and British tax payers generally. It may well be that politicians were actively involved in these alleged crimes and therefore should not be part of any investigation. The only solution that would have an iota of credibility would be an independent public inquiry.

Were the Bank of England and Whitehall in on it?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/the-libor-conspiracy-were-the-bank-of-england-and-whitehall-in-on-it-7906916.html The Greta British Banking Scandal.   Why all this hysteria now. Many people have been saying for years that the banks were out of control, ripping off customers and it many cases worse, and that they were run by a cartel  of overpaid individuals who's activities verged on criminal fraud. The banks have been caught with their sticky fingers in the till, and now are being exposed for what they really are. It remains to be seen to what extent the Bank of England and politicians are  involved in this scandalous conspiracy against the public.

Something is rotten in the State of Banking.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2012/jun/29/mervyn-king  Governor's scathing attack on industry's culture of excess as new scandal erupts The scandalous activities of the banks have been with us for decades. Only now does the Governor of the Bank of England propose that action be taken to control the renegade industry.  "It is time to do something about the banking system," King said."It goes to the culture and the structure of banks: the excessive compensation, the shoddy treatment of customers, the deceitful manipulation of a key interest rate, and today, news of yet another mis-selling scandal." The banks have been caught with their fingers in the till, and they should face the full economic and if established the full legal consequences. The question is will they? From previous experience, there will be a few days or weeks furore in the media, questions in the House and heated debate on BBC Question Time, then after the imposition of ...

A4e gets two new state contracts worth up to £30m

Despite-string-fraud-probes-A4e-gets-new-state-contracts This is unbelievable!! A company under police investigation, under MP's investigation and DWP investigation is STILL getting Government Contracts, and OUR money! The current contracts should be suspended and no new contracts awarded until all investigation have been completed. Who ever is responsible for this decision should be suspended immediately and an investigation should be initiated into how this decision was reached and whether there are any other more sinister considerations.
