Anti Austerity demonstrations will intensify not only in London but all around the country.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/19/police-crack-down-on-activists-on-eve-of-london-austerity-march Police crack down on activists on eve of London austerity march      See you on the streets next Saturday. 20th June 2015 Someone once said, "We aim to equalise before the other team score. We should get our retaliation in first." . The police seem to have taken this idea to a new level in defence of the "establishment" and the austerity programme of Osborne and the Conservative government. The restriction and suppression of protest and dissent is more appropriate to a "Police State" than to a supposed democracy in western Europe. The imposition of even more austerity will be announced over the coming months and whether the government, the "establishment" or the police like it or not, the demonstrations will intensify not only in London but all around the country. Join the demonstrations, resist the governm...

The "war on terror" reaches disabled pensioners

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/disabled-and-elderly-campaigners-protesting-removal-of-travel-concessions-kettled-by-the-police-at-sheffield-railway-station-9560606.html Disabled and elderly campaigners protesting removal of travel concessions ‘kettled by the police’ at Sheffield railway station Pensioners and disabled arrested The establishment and their police force are becoming desperate in their quest for control. This time they attack disabled and pensioners. The time is not too far off when they will attack everyone in the name of "the fight against terrorism".

Redress in law must be available for all, not just the rich.

http://www.theguardian.com/law/2014/mar/07/lawyers-protest-parliament-legal-aid-cuts Lawyers protest outside parliament at legal aid cuts Barristers and solicitors as they hold a demonstration outside parliament. Former Tory MP Sir Ivan Lawrence QC is ashamed of government for 'destroying criminal justice system' Were it not for the legal aid system, I would have been unable to bring my case to the courts and the organisation would have got away with it. The lawyers may make money from the legal aid funds, but that is good value for people who would otherwise have no redress in the courts. The barristers and solicitors, certainly have my full support.

A thought for today (and every day perhaps)

This thought should be remembered by all those, who demonise, demean, mock, patronise or otherwise insult the sick, the disabled, the unemployed, the benefit claimants, those reliant on Foodbanks and other charities, the poor and the homeless and all those other sections of our society who are vulnerable and least able to defend themselves.

It is still state theft. They are just taking a larger percentage.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/03/30/bank-of-cyprus-bailout-60-savings-_n_2985058.html?utm_hp_ref=uk People with over 100,000 euros (£84,300) in Bank of Cyprus accounts could lose up to 60% of their savings in a harsh new EU and IMF bailout deal.     How many more "little details" have the Troika, the banks and the politicians kept up their sleeves? Stealing 60% of  £84,000 from peoples savings is a big shift from stealing only 10%. Which ever way you look at it, it is still state theft. It is just that they are stealing a larger amount.

Bailout "saves" Cyprus, but the people have to pay.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/cyprus-a-haircut-for-the-people-a-pay-cutfor-president-nicos-anastasiades--but-banks-open-amid-tight-security-and-cash-restrictions-that-could-last-a-month-8552690.html#disqus_thread   Cyprus: a haircut for the people, a pay cut for President Nicos Anastasiades – but banks open amid tight security and cash restrictions that could last a month. Savers formed "orderly" queues "a haircut for the people, a pay cut for the President but banks are open amid tight security". No mention of the speculators, or the Troika, who have made some profits from the "crisis", or the other "depositors" who withdrew much of their cash in February, before the scandal broke (Who tipped them off?), or the bankers who created the mess in the first place. As usual, ordinary people pay for the incompetence, greed and mismanagement of banks and politicians.

Fueling the flames

A demonstration in Tel Aviv.  Watch this video. The man giving the speech through the loud speaker, is Michael Ben Ari, an Israeli Knesset member. A demonstration against something is one thing, but the hatred shown in the actions and the chants of these demonstrators is something evil and despicable. In any other country they would be arrested for racial hatred and incitement, but in Israel, it seems that hatred of Palestinians and people in Gaza, is accepted as the norm. Many people in Israel wonder why they are, at the same time feared and despised. Many Americans support and defend the sentiments shown by these evil bigots and then wonder why the United States is criticised as hypocritical and loathed by many for their unconditional support, both political and financial for a regime which occupies territories in Palestine, enforces a blockade of Gaza and its population of around 1.7 million people crammed into an area of around 140 square miles, and then regularly kil...
