All Trade Unions links with the Labour party should be severed completely

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/feb/27/unite-labour-possible-funding-cut  "Unite" to consider cut in affiliation fees. Len McCluskey  general secretary of Unite    The Labour Party was destroyed by Blair, Mandellson, Brown, Campbell and the other conspirators of "New Labour", many of whom still sit in the Commons today. Len McCluskey is stating what many trade unions are now accepting as fact, rather than the rhetoric of Miliband minor and the rest of the party "leadership" are trotting out in seeking to preserve their positions. It is time that the TUC and all affiliated organisation followed the lead of Unite and dumped the Labour party completely.

Miliband following Blair to complete the destruction of the Labour Party

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/miliband-plans-to-cut-off-the-hand-that-fed-him-with-ambitious-plan-to-rob-trade-unions-of-their-onethird-share-of-labour-leadership-vote-9065436.html Miliband ready to abolish the electoral college in which unions, MPs and party members currently have 33 per cent of the voting power. cynicism and hypocrisy   Miliband going down "Blair Street" thinking that the Trade Union movement have nothing to do with the Labour Party. Miliband minor should remember what Blair and Miliband major and all the other anti union "Labour" MP's attempted to forget in pursuit of the populist vote. The Trade Union Congress formed the Labour Party. It was the Trade Union Congress together with the Labour Party (in 1945 at least) who took on the employers and the ruling establishment. I have argued before and repeat now, that the TUC and all affiliated organisations should dump the Labour Party and create a Party from t...

A speech of froth, cliche and patronising comment

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2013/sep/10/ed-miliband-tuc-speech-lukewarm-reception Ed Miliband's TUC speech receives lukewarm reception   Having watched the whole of Ed Miliband's televised speech to the TUC yesterday,(10th September 2013) and the subsequent session of planted questions, it was noticeable how restrained the delegates were in their responses to the Labour Party's leader. This is not particularly surprising when you consider that Miliband's offering was more froth than content and that the speech was full of cliche, feeble attempts at humour and patronising remarks about the "backbone of Britain",  "the vision of our founders"and "hearing from the people who are your members" and at the end of a twenty minute performance, a reference to his  " vision" of a one nation Britain .  A poor performance which offered little, other than a vague reference that a future Labour government would legi...

Ed Miliband and his attack on the Trade Union movement.

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/the-unions-should-realise--this-isnt-an-attack-8805135.html     Donald Macintyre is off target when he suggests that "The unions should realise - this isn't an attack"   Donald Macintyre: Independant   Miliband seems to have forgotten, or is conveniently ignoring, what many other Labour party leaders since Clement Attlee, have also ignored. The relationship between the Labour Party and the TUC, and the wider Trade Union movement, is an historic one dating back to 1900. It should be a relationship where the Parliamentary Labour Party, (the MP's) should have as its primary objective the representation and well being of working people in this country. The same objective in fact as the TUC. In this context, “working people” is used in its wider definition, to include employed and unemployed, the disabled, the sick, benefit claimants in fact the whole spectrum of society. Over recen...

"Flogging a dead horse" is entirely pointless.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/jul/17/labour-policies-len-mcluskey Labour must shift policies or risk ruin, says Len McCluskey     Trying to give the kiss of life to a corpse is a very futile exercise. Len McCluskey, and the rest of the trade union movement, should recognise and accept, that the Labour Party, as the party of working people, is dead and that no amount of "reforms" or attempts at persuasion will repair damage done over the past decades and compounded over recent months by Milliband and the rump "Blairites".  Stuck in the morass of the so called centre ground, indistinguishable from either from Conservative or Liberal Democrat, Labour is destined to become a marginalised collection of tired politicians with few policies and little support. It is time for the trade union movement to move on and field its own candidates to give an alternative to the current, no real choice political menu.     ...

It is time for a divorce

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/07/13/bob-crow-labour-party_n_3591038.html?utm_hp_ref=uk   Break ties with Labour and create a party that "speaks for working people". Like a married couple who have been arguing and bickering for many years, the TUC and the Labour party should recognise that they have come to the end of the road and that the best option for both parties would be a swift and preferably amicable divorce.I have been arguing for some time that the TUC should end the relationship with Labour and field its own candidates at elections under a manifesto which reprsents working people and social structure rather than the finance and business interests wwhich now are the main areas of concern of the Labour party. I left Labour many years ago when Blair, Mandelson, Campbell and Brown "reformed" the party and created a centre ground "one size fits all" political grouping indistinguishable from Tory or LibD...

Labour loosing more members.

http://thebackbencher.co.uk/why-im-leaving-labour/  The terminal decline of a once great party.      Clause IV of the Labour Party Constitution:  To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service . (deleted by Blair in 1995) They are all the same now   I left Labour many years ago when Blair, Mandelson, Campbell and Brown "reformed" the party and created a centre ground "one size fits all" political grouping indistinguishable from Tory or LibDem and exchanged principle for populist expediency. Thatcher created a nation where "there is no such thing as society", greed and selfishness are good, hypocrisy is an acceptable characteristic and where th...

This story should cause outrage.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/mps-expenses-rebuilding-politic/10049876/Employment-minister-Mark-Hoban-keeps-most-of-six-figure-profit-on-his-taxpayer-funded-second-home.html This parasite of an MP has made a profit of £132,668 from buying and selling a second home property which had been funded in part through the MPs' expenses system    Mark Hoban.Minister of State for Work and Pensions and MP for Fareham  The  Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which regulates MPs’ expenses, only asked him to repay £11,332of the £144,000 profit he made on the sale of the flat for £393,000 in November last year. Our money going straight into the pocket of an over paid, expense claiming, freeloader.

"Free workers" for businesses.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/01/04/ed-balls-labour-benefits_n_2407214.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Ed Balls Tells Jobseekers To Accept Work Or Lose Benefits Shadow chancellor Ed Balls What is my former party trying to achieve? It seems to me that they have completely lost the plot. This is an old "policy" rehashed by Balls and Co in an attempt to make it look like something else. It is not new, or original or something that my Labour party should touch with a barge pole. Once again, Labour are offering "free workers" to firms for 6 months in the vain hope that at the end of the 6 months, the company will suddenly produce a full time position within the firm, as if producing a rabbit from a hat. Everyone knows (except Balls and the Labour party policy makers it seems) that firms will simply terminate the "free worker" and ask for another one from the local employment office. The evidence of previous experience vividly demonstrates...

Roll up your sleeves and find jobs

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/active/9623053/Roll-up-your-sleeves-and-find-jobs-minister-tells-unemployed.html Jobless people who do not make enough of an effort to find work face a “rude awakening” from tomorrow under new rules which could see them stripped of their benefits for three years. Mark Hoban, the Employment Minister In spite of the latest statistical lies from government and the DOS,  unemployment remains high with hundreds of thousands not being counted for one reason or another. Now Mark Hoban the Employment Minister (Mark who?) with echo's of Tebbit's bike, tells people to roll up their sleeves. Unemployment, recession, inflation and cuts in public expenditure are destroying the fabric of our society and all that this dim wit can offer is cliche's and threats.  We have a government of self opinionated rich morons, who are more interested in maintaining their lavish life styles, taxpayer funded perks and pensions,  and first class trave...

Competing for the title of "Most nasty".

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/oct/08/conservative-welfare-cuts-analysis  The Tories claim they are making things fairer but their plans to save £10bn rely on penalising poorer children with siblings   They have always been a nasty, authoritarian bunch of  self centered tyrants.  Its just that over the past few years some of them have become even more nasty and authoritarian (if that's possible). It seems that there is a competition between   Duncan Smith, Osborne, Rabb, Schapps and a few others to be the most nasty.

Osborne champions a return to days of old

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/oct/08/george-osborne-workers-rights-shares  Workers to be forced to give up their rights over unfair dismissal, redundancy and requests for flexible working and time off for training. Being forced to lose some maternity rights and all access to unfair dismissal tribunals as proposed by George Osborne is another step in the  return to the bad old days. The Tory party and its rabid right have always been the champions of ensuring that working people are" kept in their place" by legislation and anti Trade Union measures and that the employers are allowed to operate without restrictions. .All in exchange for continued and increased contributions to the Conservative party funds.

Crossing the line.

The Daily Mail has just been deleted from my "news sources" list. This "newspaper" is today (12th September 2012), filled with more obnoxious, biased articles and associated comments from moronic "readers comments" contributors, than I have ever seen. Editing or failing to publish comments in order to promote the Proprietors political or personal view has long been part and parcel of the media circus and thus is an accepted part of debate on the issues of the day. However, when reporting of events becomes no more than a vehicle to promote and champion attacks on working people, or Trade Unions, or Disabled, or individuals then such a "newspaper" crosses the line between decency and obscenity. Today the Mail crossed that line. Another worrying feature of the Mail over recent months is the way in which articles have been so constructed, that an Israeli attack on Iran is not only justifiable but is also encouraged as a righte...

Ignorant, self opinionated bastards.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/tories-britons-among-worlds-idlest-workers-8057360.html The British are among the world's idlest workers, according to five up-and-coming Tory MP's. Kwasi Kwarteng, Priti Patel, Dominic Raab, Chris Skidmore and Elizabeth Truss, Ignorant, self opinionated bastards. The very essence of why the Tories have and will always be, the enemies of working people (and of the sick, disabled and pensioners) in this country. As long as evil morons such as these five exist and continue to spurt their pernicious venom, the Class war will endure and I for one will continue to oppose them.
