There were a number of calls, usually coming from what seemed to be a "call centre" somewhere in India, over a period of months last year. The telephone company advised that even though we are on "Telephone Preference" blocking, BT were unable to do anything about calls originating from overseas. bogus ‘Microsoft Tech Support’ technician,  My own method of dealing with these morons is to drag the call out for a while with numerous questions to them about what operating system do they think I have?, what seems to be the nature of my problem,? and anything else that I can dream up at the time. New Agenda. It is Monday 5th March 2012 and this morning, just to prove that there is a mysterious phenomenon existing under the name of “Murphy's Law”, the Internet connection will only work in -1st gear. Of course this means that to connect to my bookmarked pages for news an d comment , or my Twitter pages, or perhaps most annoyingly New Agenda, I have to wait with bated breath for nearly 20 minutes for each stage of the connection, and even then its incomplete. NOT GOOD ENOUGH BT !! Stop prating about with the lines and get the fibre optic in NOW. We who live in the “sticks” are just as worthy of good internet connection as those who live in Canary Warf or even Downing Street. Open Reach ??? more like Open mouth in stunned disbelief.
