Hague compares Homs to Srebrenica.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/syria-conflict-the-spectre-of-srebrenica-hangs-over-besieged-old-city-of-homs-warns-william-hague-9120167.html   Syria conflict: The spectre of Srebrenica hangs over besieged Old City of Homs, warns William Hague " Free Syrian Army" inside a damaged building in Homs Hague and Kerry, continue the steady drip of emotive comparisons, attempting to move public opinion to support a military intervention by the "International Community" or more accurately, the United States and United Kingdom, in the Syrian civil war. For the last few years. if not longer, the objective in Washington and London has been for regime change in Syria. Having been frustrated in this ambition by their respective legislative bodies, they now attempt another route to countenance military intervention in support of the numerous rebel factions. This is a bloody and vicious civil war, and regardless of what the warmongering pol...

The hidden agenda of Kerry, Hague and the "Opposition Coalition".

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/22/syria-peace-talks-assad-future Syria peace talks: John Kerry leads calls for removal of President Bashar al-Assad U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon   The arrogance of Kerry and to only a slightly lesser extent Hague, demonstrating the hypocrisy and duplicity of the "Western Powers" in their continued campaign to find any excuse to attack Syria, no matter what the people of the United States or United Kingdom may say. At yesterday's (Wednesday 22nd January 2014) opening speeches to what has been described as "Geneva 11", and at news conferences later in the day, Kerry launched astonishing attacks on the so called "Assad Regime" in speeches full of rhetoric, unsubstantiated allegations and distorted history. It is indeed ironic that, after the uncompromising speech from Walid Muallem Syria's foreign minister, criticising the Western Powers for supportin...

Why we should not be involved.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/may/31/syria-peace-talks-russia-weapons Syria peace talks likely to be postponed as Russia plans to ship more weapons President of the Syrian National Council George Sabra (C) talks with other Syrian opposition members The "Peace talks" are not postponed because Russia has announced its intention to "ship more weaponry to the Assad regime", as the whole tone of this (Guardian) article seems intent on suggesting. The postponement is purely due to the simple fact that one of the fragments of the "rebels" has thrown in the perception that Hezbollah and an Iranian militia has "invaded" Syria. There is of course no mention of any of the other "invasions" by Qatari volunteers supporting another fragment of the "rebels" opposed to George Sabra, or the Saudi Arabian militia supporting yet another faction or the Israeli and American support for which ever "opposition faction...

Tel Aviv and Washington getting involved.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/this-is-not-a-declaration-of-war-israel-seeks-to-reassure-syria-over-airstrikes-that-reportedly-killed-at-least-42-8604967.html  Tel Aviv intervenes in Syrian civil war (regardless of what spin they put on it) "The Jewish state has sought to persuade the Syrian government that the attacks - which reportedly killed 42 - were not designed to weaken Bashar al-Assad's position".   The effect however, as Tel Aviv well knows, is exactly the opposite. Washington and Tel Aviv, in collaboration to intervene in the Syrian civil war.

The tradgedy of Syria

Damascus is often claimed to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, Ever since I first went there in the early part of 1985, I have loved the city and Syria, the people I met on numerous visits, the location, the climate, the restaurants everything in fact. Paradoxically, my first view of the country was a chilling one. Arriving at DAM the Damascus International Airport very late at night (the Airport was opened specially to receive the Company aircraft) from a refuelling stop at Larnaca, we were met on the tarmac by a deputation of high ranking army officers who accompanied us to the terminal building on special buses to collect our luggage and the trunks containing the 25 volumes of our (as yet incomplete) proposal for Phase 2 of the local manufacturing of communications equipment Contract for the Syrian Government. Almost as soon as we left the airport for the drive into the City and what was to be our home, office, meeting venue etc over the next week...
