The government has a very perverted sense of values.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/nov/18/buckingham-palace-to-undergo-370m-refurbishment Buckingham Palace to undergo 'essential' £370m refurbishment Children In Need raised a record £46.6m last night (18/11/2016) all donated by viewers and/or fund raising events around the country. The pledging or donations of that money was our choice. The government has pledged £370 million of tax payers (that is us) money to repair and refurbish one house in central London and did not even bother to ask us the question as to whether we agreed with the expenditure. The residents of that house, already receive substantial sums of money from the taxpayers (that is us again), in the form of benefits and "expenses" payments to supplement their already considerable private personal income from various sources, family fortunes and wealth accumulated and passed on over many centuries. The government however is unable or more likely unwilling, to ...

Hypocrisy, greed and profiteering on the death of Saudi King.

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/worldmarkets/oil-surges-after-saudi-kings-death/ar-AA8uAC4  Oil prices surge following the death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Of Saudi Arabia The speculators and parasites never miss any opportunity to make money. The despot of Saudi Arabia dies and the price of oil surges. The connection between two unrelated events will be explained by the pundits as  "the markets do not like uncertainty" All those tankers lying at anchor and full of oil waiting for the right circumstances to unload their cargoes, can now head towards the terminals and discharge the liquid. We can expect the oil companies to announce huge increases in profits at the next round of company announcements and in the meantime, the recent fall in the price of petrol at the pumps will be reversed within days if not sooner. An enlightening perspective on the oil companies, dealers and speculators in a sick and greedy industry. In t...

We would like it to be more

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/06/26/queen-palace-spend-rich_n_5532188.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Queen and Royal Family Spend £35.7m A Year, But It's Not Enough To Stop Palace Decay       So,Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor would like more. Every pensioner, disabled person, benefit claimant, widow, un employed family, minimum wage employee, zero hour contract worker, and countless other categories of people, would also "like more". The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people in this country have to make do with what they have, due primarily to "My government", (Buckingham Palace speak for the ConDem coalition) and their dogmatic drive for cuts and austerity. The vast majority of people in this country do not have private income from the "Royal estates" or from "the Duchy" of somewhere or other, or from other dubious sources (including the winnings from racehorses out of the Royal Stables). If the Windsor...

The world has forgotten Bahrain.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/05/16/bahrain-maryam-al-khawaja_n_5337616.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Bahrain's Maryam Al-Khawaja Wants To Tell You About The Arab Revolt We've All Forgotten Maryam al-Khawaja has fled her home, to live in a country where she has no family or community. Her father is serving a life sentence behind bars, her uncle serving five years, and her sister, newly freed from prison, is likely to be jailed again in September. Maryam al-Khawaja is in exile in Denmark   I, and many others, have been shouting about the "forgotten uprising" in Bahrain for over two years. The problem, as is often the case in these situations, is that the western "media" by accident, or more usually by design, choose not to report events presumably to avoid embarrassment to "friendly" governments in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, the United States, with its 5th Fleet in its base at Juffai, the United Kingdom with nu...

Bahrain Grand Prix goes ahead despite protests on the streets.

http://racing.ap.org/article/thousands-rally-bahrain-ahead-auto-race The protests and the race go on. In sport, money is all too frequently far more important than principle. This time it is F1 and the Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir. Some time this week, if he has not already benefited, Ecclestone will add a few $ or£ million to his huge bank deposits located around the world, Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the rest of the "Royal" family, will soak up the kudos of this major sporting event, and no doubt collect their fees and expenses. When the trophies are presented after the race, national anthems will be played and there will be much celebration amongst the teams and those in the grandstands, then the whole circus will move onto the next race, the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on the 20th April. In Bahrain, the protests will continue and for the Al Khalifa clique its back to business as usual. The business of human rights abuses, crus...

An odious woman suggests another means of killing animals.

http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/apr/04/badgers-should-be-gassed-princess-anne-cull  Badgers should be gassed, says Princess Anne   Gassing is the most humane way to control them,   It seems that it is of little consequence to this odious woman whether it is gas, bullet or blade, as long as the badgers are killed. She is just giving us the "benefit" of her own personal opinion. This type of comment is what would normally be expected from the "hunting, shooting" fraternity, who completely ignore any evidence regarding the ineffectiveness of "the cull". Perhaps next she will suggest using the hounds as another alternative.

Dorset Music Group snubs Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, Bernie Eccleston and the al-Khalifa regime

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/11094006.VIDEO__Dorset_musical_group_snub_Grand_Prix_over_human_rights_concerns/ Dorset musical group snub Grand Prix over human rights concerns magic drum orchestra  A DORSET musical group has snubbed an invitation to play at a prestigious Formula One Grand Prix over concerns about human rights violations.   A big well done to The Magic Drum Orchestra, for taking a stand against the barbaric al-Khalifa regime and its excesses against the people of Bahrain. On Friday, 20 April 2012, I wrote in this Blog, under the heading of "CANCEL THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX " the following text, "Principle is more important that money. Ecclestone and the Bahrain Royal family grab the kudos, while the Bahrain security forces backed by the Saudi forces, continue to oppress and kill  protesters. CANCEL THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX " The oppression and civil rights abuses against the people and protestors in Bahrain continues unabated today...

British Royal family condones a barbaric, medieval autocracy

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/19/prince-charles-sword-dance-pictures_n_4814227.html?utm_hp_ref=uk#comments  Prince Charles Criticised For Taking Part In Saudi Arabian Sword Dance Prince Charles taking part in an "Ardah"   Perhaps Charles discussed and crticised the Saudi involvement in the savage repression of protestors in Bahrain.(Which remains un reported in the western press and media). The Saudi role in the Syrian civil war was also on the agenda for discussion no doubt as was the bribery and corruption associated with the lucrative arms trade between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. For as long as Charles Windsor and the rest of his family support and give comfort to the barbaric regime in Saudi Arabia and other countries with a similar record of repression and abuses of human rights, then so shall such regimes be given a charade of credibility. The Saudi Royal family have been made welcome visitors at Buckingham Palace and Downing Street for...

Not at all "like the rest of us".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/prince-charles-is-turning-65--and-still-awaiting-his-key-job-is-he-a-guiding-light-for-the-postretirement-work-era-8937573.html  Prince Charles at 65: A portfolio of jobs and no plans to retire, so he's just like the rest of us The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall   The headline reads: " .....so he's just like the rest of us". Yes of course he is. He and "Parker Bowles" regularly visit the Kensington Foodbank to get their weekly rations and they frequently switch energy suppliers in the naive belief that they might get a better deal from another cartel member. Every 4 weeks, when his pension is paid into which ever bank account he has nominated for that purpose, he takes his "Casio" calculator and works out to the nearest penny, whether he and the Mrs. can afford to have that pound of meat for a liver and bacon treat they have been thinking about, or whether that spar...
