These announcements, coming as the Palestinian/Israeli talks are scheduled to co mmence tomorrow, Wednesday, clearly demonstrate the determination of Israel to scupper any prospect of an agreement with Palestine. This Huffington Post article implies that the Palestinians agreed to the continued building of Israeli settlements in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners. This is far from true.
