Making a complex situation even more insoluble.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/30/syria-us-deployment-troops-obama-special-operations#comments   Obama orders US special forces to 'assist' fight against Isis in Syria White House press secretary Josh Earnest. In 1950, Truman sent "military advisers" to assist the French in their fight against Viet Minh forces. In the 1960's newly elected Kennedy sent more "advisers" to assist (prop up) the Saigon government in their fight against the Viet Cong.  Now, Obama sends US special forces into Syria to “Advise and assist” rebel armies in the northern Syria who are fighting Isis. This western generated mess becomes even more complex with the North FSA/Turkish/Kurdish/Isis conflict with the American advisers supporting 3 of these factions all fighting each other! Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. This time however, the United States is making a complete mess even more insoluble.

Hague compares Homs to Srebrenica.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/syria-conflict-the-spectre-of-srebrenica-hangs-over-besieged-old-city-of-homs-warns-william-hague-9120167.html   Syria conflict: The spectre of Srebrenica hangs over besieged Old City of Homs, warns William Hague " Free Syrian Army" inside a damaged building in Homs Hague and Kerry, continue the steady drip of emotive comparisons, attempting to move public opinion to support a military intervention by the "International Community" or more accurately, the United States and United Kingdom, in the Syrian civil war. For the last few years. if not longer, the objective in Washington and London has been for regime change in Syria. Having been frustrated in this ambition by their respective legislative bodies, they now attempt another route to countenance military intervention in support of the numerous rebel factions. This is a bloody and vicious civil war, and regardless of what the warmongering pol...

The hidden agenda of Kerry, Hague and the "Opposition Coalition".

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/22/syria-peace-talks-assad-future Syria peace talks: John Kerry leads calls for removal of President Bashar al-Assad U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon   The arrogance of Kerry and to only a slightly lesser extent Hague, demonstrating the hypocrisy and duplicity of the "Western Powers" in their continued campaign to find any excuse to attack Syria, no matter what the people of the United States or United Kingdom may say. At yesterday's (Wednesday 22nd January 2014) opening speeches to what has been described as "Geneva 11", and at news conferences later in the day, Kerry launched astonishing attacks on the so called "Assad Regime" in speeches full of rhetoric, unsubstantiated allegations and distorted history. It is indeed ironic that, after the uncompromising speech from Walid Muallem Syria's foreign minister, criticising the Western Powers for supportin...

"Non leathal aid" to Syrian rebels is suspended.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/dec/11/syrian-crisis-us-uk-suspend-aid-islamist-weapons-stores US and UK suspend 'Non-lethal' aid  no change in policy of providing non-lethal support to the moderate opposition.    A complete shambles of a civil war, and Britain, the United States and France must share responsibility for being among the main contributors to this carnage. The "western powers" should have heeded the advice and kept out. This civil war looks more and more like a bloody stalemate and the Western "allies" are perpetuating the bloodshed. Suspension of supplies of "non lethal aid" is nothing more than a gesture for public consumption. The fact remains that American, French and British "special advisers" are actively involved with the opposition forces and from the available evidence they are losing as the "opposition" splinters and becomes even more fragmented.

"The West" are preparing us for a war against Syria.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/syria-air-attacks-loom-as-britain-and-us-pledge-to-use-force-within-two-weeks-8784435.html   Syria: air attacks loom as Britain and US pledge to use force within two weeks    Intelligence on targets would come from pilotless drones patrolling the skies above Syria and special forces on the ground. For many months prior to the start of the Second World War, the German press and media, had conducted a campaign of distortion and myth essentially directed at Poland, with the objective of justifying their subsequent aggression against that country, culminating with the invasion of September 1st 1939, and instigating, what became the deadliest conflict in human history, with an estimated 50 million to 85 million fatalities. The “art” of propaganda, was described in Mien Kampf with the words “ The art of propaganda consists precisely in being able to awaken the imagination of the publi...

The hysterical clamour for intervention increases.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/22/us-talks-syria-chemical-weapons-use-allegations  US holds spate of Syria talks as concern grows over chemical weapons claims   Forget the rhetoric from Hague and the French, and the apparent dithering from the Americans, which is after all only for public consumption. Just like the legs and feet of the duck "paddling furiously under the water", the corridors of the Pentagon are filled with people rushing around preparing intervention plans for Washington. The fact is that White House and Downing Street who are joined at the hip on this matter, and the French (who have historic connections with Syria) have been itching to get involved in this civil war for almost the whole two years that it has been going on. Back in June of this year, Tony Blair, middle east peace envoy, hypocrite, war criminal and liar, was advocating western intervention against the Assad forces with the imposition, as a start, of "no fly zo...

The preparations for intervention gather pace.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/06/15/syria_8_n_3446909.html?utm_hp_ref=uk  David Cameron Says UK Will Work With Syria Rebels, Despite 'Deeply Unsavoury' Elements.    David Cameron says that there are "deeply unsavoury elements within the anti-Assad forces", and yet blunders on with his and Hague's compulsion to provide weapons and aid to the "rebels". British and American troops are now in Jordan "close" to the Syrian border and "special advisers" are already inside Syria providing assistance to one or more of the numerous factions of the FSA. Despite the rhetoric to the contrary, a no fly zone or zones will be imposed sooner rather than later, with all the inherent perils of escalation.   David Cameron and Foreign Secretary William Hague   The western powers, namely the United States and Great Britain, are gearing up for a full scale intervention in Syria and are preparing their respective peoples to acc...

The start of another intervention.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/13/syria-chemical-weapons-assad_n_3437640.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Obama Authorizes Sending Weapons To Syrian Rebels      "Uncle Sam" paving the way for yet another intervention in a Middle East country. First, a "No fly zone" around the Lebanon,Israel borders extending into Syria and another around the Turkish Syrian border under the guise of "NATO". This lunacy, enthusiastically endorsed by the UK and France, would provide the environment for the un interrupted arming of one or more of the splintered factions of the "rebels" opposed to the Syrian government. It would then not be too long before covert western "special advisers" could be supplemented with regular troops. Barak Obama William Hague with John Kerry We seem to learn nothing from history. The ambiguous "War on terror" in Afghanistan and the futile search for "WMD" in Iraq are...

Hypocrisy fueling escalation.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/05/28/syria-arms-embargo-lifted-mps_n_3345281.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Any move to arm the Syrian opposition would dangerously escalate the violence in the region "Free Syrian Army" fighters  In another example of extreme hypocrisy, the British, the French, the Americans all jump up and down screaming "Support the rebels, provide weapons, Assad must go", while the Israeli's lurk on the margins giving little prods to McCain and Kerry, awaiting the right moment to fully intervene and occupy more territory.  S300 missile defence systems    However, when another player in this tragedy announces that it will honour its current, legal contracts with a foreign government and supply a quantity of S300 missile defence systems, the "western powers" immediately scream "FOUL" and criticise the decision as inflaming the situation, as the White house announces that they are instructing the Pentagon to draw...

William Hague pushing for intervention in Syria.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/05/27/william-syria-arms-embargo_n_3343336.html?utm_hp_ref=uk  The UK and France have led calls for the embargo to be relaxed. France's Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, left, Britain's Foreign Minister William Hague   The British and the French have done more than enough damage in Syria already, dating back as far as 1917. Now this inept Foreign Secretary, in cahoots with French, is itching to get British weapons into the hands of one, or more, of the fragmented elements of the "rebels" fighting Bashar Al-Assad. As is invariably the case with British foreign policy in the Middle east, Britain, (Mr. Hague) has no idea who to give the weapons to or which section, or sections, of the "Opposition", Britain should support. British and French involvement in the Middle East generally is littered with bad judgement leading to bad decisions.  The provision of weapons to any component of the Syrian opposition, would b...
