Anti Austerity demonstrations will intensify not only in London but all around the country.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/19/police-crack-down-on-activists-on-eve-of-london-austerity-march Police crack down on activists on eve of London austerity march      See you on the streets next Saturday. 20th June 2015 Someone once said, "We aim to equalise before the other team score. We should get our retaliation in first." . The police seem to have taken this idea to a new level in defence of the "establishment" and the austerity programme of Osborne and the Conservative government. The restriction and suppression of protest and dissent is more appropriate to a "Police State" than to a supposed democracy in western Europe. The imposition of even more austerity will be announced over the coming months and whether the government, the "establishment" or the police like it or not, the demonstrations will intensify not only in London but all around the country. Join the demonstrations, resist the governm...

Medical decisions where "How much will it cost?" is more important than "What does this patient need?"

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/sep/03/ashya-king-father-reunited-son Parents to be reunited with critically ill five-year-old on Wednesday following their release from Spanish prison Ashya King The Prima Donna's of Southampton Hospital who, right up until Monday, insisted that proton beam treatment was unsuitable for Ashya and therefore they would not refer him for treatment in Prague, have this morning announced that they have changed their minds and will refer him after all. If this is the case today, it was the same two weeks ago and the "hissy fits" of the Doctors concerned and the stupidity of the Hospital, Portsmouth Council, the CPS and the police have result ed in trauma for the patient and the patients family. It is a disgrace. It has always been about medical decisions being taken on financial cost rather than medical necessity and the "authorities" should be severely censored for their incompetent and inept handling of t...

Ashdown is surprised there have not been more riots.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/01/03/lord-ashdown-lib-dems-riots_n_4535620.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Lord Ashdown 'Surprised' Recession Did Not Trigger More Riots Lord Ashdown   In response to: Paul M. (moranium) Ashdown posed the comment that he " is surprised there have not been more riots as a result of the recession" . In my opinion, the reason that there have been "no riots" is as I said previously, Fear. The fear of losing your job, if you are fortunate enough to have one. The fear of "kettling" by police and other security forces. The fear of government retaliation by the use of sanctions from the DWP and other government departments. The fear of having to feed your families by reliance on Foodbanks and other charities. The fear of demonisation by the press, media and other government propaganda organisations.  Only when people shake off the fear of consequence, will there be any real protests and as Ashdown puts it, "ri...

Lessons will be learned ? Again.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/18yearold-woman-charged-with-death-of-baby-8862749.html 18-year-old woman charged with death of baby All those "lessons to be learned" from other cases going back over many years appear to have been disregarded again. I am sure that from this latest case, the facts will be examined (again) and the subsequent enquiry will report (again) that many factors were missed and that lessons will be learned (again). An appalling catalogue of failures in the Health Services, the Social services, the police and other bodies have plagued our society for far too long. It may well be that "the systems" contribute to the failures, but the systems are designed and operated by real people who frequently hide behind the excuse of systems failures for their own incompetence. Where people fail they should be removed from their positions, and not allowed to avoid their responsibilities with an apology and the cliche of lessons wi...

Unlawful evictions take place every day

Police act Heroically In Bailiff Eviction showdown      Every day in England and Wales, bankers are evicting people from their homes in what is one of the biggest scandals currently facing this country. The video shows that the police are not always on the side of the establishment. This video should be shown on TV and in cinema's. Have a look and pass on.

Police commissioner elections turnout heads for record low

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/nov/15/police-crime-commissioners-election-turnout#start-of-comments  Polling stations report as few as 5% coming to cast their votes Fears of record low turnout for first Police Commissioner elections  This whole "election" should be declared null and void, the concept completely abandoned  and consigned to the dustbin of history. The government, certain parts of the media and Mail readers would have hysterical fits of outrage if an industrial action decision was passed by a union or unions on such a low vote. (I can almost hear the screams of "Well that's different". In this country hypocrisy rules.)

Another can of worms.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/revealed-jimmy-savile-investigated-for-bbc-sex-attack-in-1980s-8226777.html Police had suspicions about presenter 20 years earlier than previously thought   For decades, this pervert seems to have been immune from prosecution. More than 6 different police forces were aware of allegations against him but in each case it seems that there was insufficient evidence to pursue a prosecution and investigations were dropped. The number of  investigations where  "insufficient evidence"  resulted in no further action, is stretching the boundaries of coincidence to the extreme. It seems to me that there was, and continues to be, an extensive cover up and concealment of truth in respect of Savile's activities and the involvement of others.
