Ever since the 1980's the Government have been lying in their presentation of unemployment figures. It was then that anyone claiming benefit would only be counted for 12 months. After 12 months they would be removed from the unemployment figure and moved into another category. Not because they had actually found a job, but because the figures would look better for the Government of the day.Each month since then, thousands were removed from the figures and initially at least were placed on the "Claiming Incapacity Benefit" list which does not count as unemployed.The real figure of unemployed in this country can only be guessed at, but which by now, must be running at close to 4 million.

A company under police investigation, under MP's investigation and DWP investigation is STILL getting Government Contracts, and OUR money! The current contracts should be suspended and no new contracts awarded until all investigation have been completed. Who ever is responsible for this decision should be suspended immediately and an investigation should be initiated into how this decision was reached and whether there are any other more sinister considerations.

No matter what feeble mealy mouthed excuses the Minister for disabled people, Maria Miller, may trot out after being forced to make an emergency statement to the House of Commons, the fact remains that this is nothing more than another sacrificial lamb on the alter of Government Expenditure Cuts in order to "save" money, no matter what the real cost happens to be in terms of finance or human hardship. Justifying this latest blow to the people of this country as "diverting funding away from the loss-making business into job creation schemes for disabled people in the mainstream workplace".
