The hypocrisy of the Western Powers.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/06/trump-syria-missiles-assad-chemical-weapons Sy ria airstrikes: US targets airfield in first direct military action against Assad Since early 2013, the American government closely followed by the United Kingdom government and with the French governments padding along at their heels like some well rained and obedient poodle, have been desperately seeking some justification, no matter how tenuous, to become involved in the Syrian Civil war. In this odious quest, they have been enthusiastically encouraged and supported by a media and television machine, frantically baying for the removal of Bashar al Assad and the Damascus government. Hidden amongst the rhetoric and disinformation regarding civil rights abuses, humanitarian assistance, chemical weapon programmes and the rest, all spewed out to advocate Western involvement, lies the real reasoning behind the enthusiasm for military intervention. The first and foremost r...

Public beheading and abuses of civil liberties are not acceptable even if you are "fighting terrorism".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-yemen-comments-no-country-more-committed-to-fighting-terrorism-a7367301.html No country is more committed to fighting terrorism than  Saudi Arabia , the Kingdom's foreign minister has said. Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir "No country is more committed to fighting terrorism than Saudi Arabia", the Kingdom's foreign minister has said. Public beheading performed in Saudi Arabia. Or more committed to publicly executing people, or abusing human rights on an epic scale, or committing war crimes in their military interventions in Yemen, Bahrain Syria and other places, or entering into very suspect "deals" for arms supplies from the UK. Saudi's send troops to Bahrain. The Saudi Arabian regime is corrupt, barbaric and hypocritical but successive British governments and our ow n Royal Family treat them as "the good guys". Prince Ch...

Hypocrisy reigns supreme in Westminster.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-calls-for-demonstrations-outside-russian-embassy-over-moscow-s-role-in-the-syrian-a7356066.html Boris Johnson calls for demonstrations outside Russian embassy  The hypocrisy of conservative politicians, especially now of Boris Johnson, is breathtaking. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said he would “like to see demonstrations outside the Russian embassy” he also asks 'Where is the Stop the War coalition?" It seems that demonstrations and those who take part in them are only acceptable when the object of the demo is one which the Tory party agree with and actually promote (an event so rare as to be almost a myth). At all other times, demonstrations are just politically motivated bandwagons (as per Oliver Letwin) organised by extremists and left wing militants (as per any conservative politician you may choose to ask) and are always attended by "Rent a Mob". ...

The masters of hypocrisy

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jan/02/saudi-arabia-executes-47-people-in-one-day-including-iranian-cleric Saudi Arabia executes 47 people in one day including Shia cleric Saudi Arabia not ISIS David Cameron and his government, say that the Saudi Arabian dictatorship are the "good guys" and are on our side, so this kind of barbarism is unpleasant but acceptable.   David Cameron receives a Decoration from King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia The Saudi Arabian dictatorship purchase lots of military equipment from the United Kingdom to kill people in Yemen as well as their own "terrorists". They also supply weapons and equipment to ISIS (usually part of those purchased from here in the UK), as well as assistance in the covert exporting of black market oil from lands currently under ISIS control. Saudi Arabia, actively supports and encourages ISIS in secret (one of those secrets that everyone knows but nobody mentions) whilst publicly producing a ...

‘You’re about to cut tax credits after promising you wouldn’t’

http://www.theguardian.com/money/2015/oct/16/david-cameron-spokesman-respond-question-time-tax-credits-complaint  Cameron responds to Question Time tax credits complaint    Michelle Dorrell: ‘You’re about to cut tax credits after promising you wouldn’t’   Only 24 people out of every 100 people who voted at the last general election, gave this lying hypocrite an overall majority in the House of Commons. The baying, howling Tories on the government benches, snarl that they have a "mandate from the British people" to carry out their pernicious "reforms" and to inflict even more austerity on this country, in order to "balance the books". They lie and cheat while filling themselves with the perks of position and office. They laug h at the housing crisis, they reject moves to ensure that rented homes in the private sector are fit for habitation, because to repair them would be "a huge burden on landlords”, they cut welfare and res...

A recipe for disaster?

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/02/us-coalition-warns-russia-putin-extremism-syria-isis Obama says Russian strategy in Syria is ‘recipe for disaster’   Obama says Russian strategy in Syria is ‘recipe for disaster’. A statement presumably made to convince a skeptical world that the American "strategy" is the only strategy which will resolve the Syrian civil war and bring peace to that troubled area. What President Obama actually means of course, is that any "strategy" which does not recognise and accept the American interpretation of who are the "good guys" in this conflict and therefore should be supported, armed and financed by  the "international community", is wrong and doomed to failure. On the other hand, those groups involved in the civil war of whom the United States disapprove of politically or more likely see no prospect of gaining economic, military or influential advantage from in the "reconstruction...

Blair crawls out from woodwork. Again.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyns-leftwing-politics-is-reactionary-says-tony-blair-10406516.html Jeremy Corbyn's supporters are 'reactionary' says Tony Blair  Millionaire and hypocrite   Blair again crawls out from the wood work to offer his "advice and guidance" on the future of the Labour Party. Why anyone should listen to this multi millionaire hypocrite, is anyone's guess. He, along with Mandelson and Campbell destroyed the party of Keir-Hardy, Attlee and Bevan to create a monster where corporate interest and greed became the norm at the expense of ordinary people.  Labour spends too much time focusing on the poor and not enough on the middle class His prodigy Liz Kendall, the right wing Blairite in the leadership election, states that Labour is "spending too much time focusing on the poor and not enough on the middle class". A line which could have been provided by Blair...

The ballots have not yet been cast, but the conspirators are plotting

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/c1b121e6-f184-11e4-98c5-00144feab7de.html Cameron and Clegg prepared to ‘move quickly’ to form coalition The conspirators The pencil marks are not yet on the ballot papers, but here we have Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber plotting their next moves in their war against ordinary people in this country.  On the one hand, the man with the vicious cabinet intent on attacking the sick, disabled, the pensioners and benefit claimants all in the name of "austerity" to "reduce the deficit and balance the books".  On the other hand the unprincipled hypocrite who doesn't really care who occupies 10 Downing Street, as long as he can retain the title of Deputy Prime Minister, the inflated salary, the ministerial car, the additional perks of office, the seat at the cabinet table and all the kudos to satisfy his over inflated ego and perception of his own importance. Until yesterday, these two lying cynics, were tearing lumps off each...

The world ignores the fact that Israel is no different than Islamic State in its destruction of antiquities.

Israel has been destroying Palestinian antiquities since 1948. The town of Lifta destroyed in 1948. One of the first of hundreds Can anyone please explain how Islamic State destroying antiquities in Iraq is any different from Israel destroying historic Islamic sites dating back to the Umayyad, Abbasid and Ottoman eras in occupied Jerusalem (as well as hundreds of Palestinian homes in the city). Can anyone please also offer some explanation as to why Israeli destruction in Jerusalem (and other locations in the occupied territories) is almost totally ignored by the western media, television and governments. This is yet another example of western hypocrisy in the region and the incessant "Israel can do no wrong" mentality brought about by the collective guilty conscience in western governments.

A corrupt and rotten regime

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/egypt-coup-leaked-tape-proves-defence-minister-tried-to-conceal-morsis-true-location-in-military-prison-say-forensic-scientists-10066042.html Egypt coup: Leaked tape proves defence minister tried to conceal Morsi’s true location in military prison      With all the experience that America has in organising coup de tat in other peoples countries, they seem to have missed a few points when advising Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his gang of conspirators.   This revelation of new evidence will not make one iota of difference.  The al-Sisi cabal will continue their ruthless suppression of all opposition and their obscene show trials of Innocent people and the Americans will continue to deny that the events of 2013 were in fact a coup de tat, which will allow them to carry on pouring armaments, aircraft and cash into the Egyptian military machine. A corrupt and rotten administratio...

The duplicitous hypocrisy of politicians.

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jan/18/theresa-may-pledges-extra-police-patrols-counter-antisemitism-threat   Theresa May pledges extra police patrols to counter antisemitism threat Eric Pickles and Mrs May hold up signs declaring 'Je suis juif' It is a shameful act of duplicitous hypocrisy, when Theresa May and too many other politicians like her, spout pious rhetoric about " the risk to the Jewish community" and the measures to be taken to deal with hate crime. These "political leaders" fall over themselves with acts of appeasement, and yet completely ignore the daily "hate crimes" against Palestinians in the occupied territories and the slaughter of more than 2000 women and children in Gaza during "Operation Protective Edge" in June/July of last year. These politicians and their despicable hypocrisy, deserve nothing but contempt.

The triumph of hypocrisy and hysterical rhetoric.

The governments of the west, preparing us for what is becoming an inevitable clash of civilisations. The governments in the West, particularly those of France, the United kingdom and the United States, are out of control and the media and television, so eager to absorb the latest round of “updates” emanating from the government propaganda machine, vie with each other to produce the most sensational or vivid headlines for the next edition or the next news broadcast on their channel. In this respect, the media have done a first class job in persuading vast sections of the people, that the “threat” of Islamic extremism is so severe so as to warrant even more restrictions on individual civil liberties and to justify the proposition that government agencies, should without any checks, controls or balances, be able to monitor all forms of communications between people, by fax, e-mail, Skype links, telephone or any other means. In addition to this, government agencies are forc...

The bias and hypocrisy of the BBC

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/tim-willcox-apologises-to-daughter-of-holocaust-survivor-at-paris-rally-for-saying-palestinians-suffer-hugely-at-jewish-hands-as-well-9972840.html Tim Willcox apologises to daughter of Holocaust survivor at Paris rally for saying 'Palestinians suffer hugely at Jewish hands as well Tim Willcox   I am not a great fan of Tim Willcox, and have frequently been very critical of his bias and general manner both in his reporting and news presentation. However, why should he be forced to apologise or even resign for a remark which is demonstrably true and echo's what many people believe to be the hypocrisy of western values when discussing the question of Palestine. The BBC again demonstrates their corporate bias and hypocrisy, this time directed at one of their own reporting staff. Clearly the concept of "Freedom of Speech" has been conveniently overlooked and emphasises the point that the BBC and other bodies, cons...

The double standards of the western governments.

http://www.haaretz.com/news/middle-east/.premium-1.636538  Egypt to raze 2000 more homes for Gaza "Buffer zone" Demolishing homes in Rafah   Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, dictator of Egypt, who with American and Israeli backing overthrew the democratically elected President with a bloody coup, authorised mass arrests and show trials of journalists, political opponents, and dissidents continues with his programme of terror and punishment on the people of Gaza and Palestine. Acting on "instructions from Tel Aviv and no doubt Washington, Egyptian authorities have begun implementing phase two in the flattening of large swaths of Rafah. An evil cabal in Cairo conspiring with the evil Tel Aviv and Washington axis to inflict punishment, pain and misery on men women and children in Palestine. The world says nothing in criticism of this shameful act.

The corrupt fraudsters within the banks must be prosecuted.

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/jul/28/bank-of-england-lloyds-bailout-funding Lloyds fined £217 million over Libor rigging Lloyds Bank The bankers should be subject to criminal law the same as everyone else. It was not "the bank" which corrupted the Libor rates and made huge profit from the speculation. It was specific individuals within the banks who conspired together and committed a crime. They went on to re introduce the obscenity of awarding themselves large bonuses and at the same time, carried on receiving payouts from the British tax payers. A benefit claimant would be hounded and persecuted for wrongly claiming a few pounds in benefits and yet "the bank" can receive £ millions and nobody says a word.   These corrupt fraudsters, must be prosecuted and jailed if trust in our banks is to be restored.

The hypocrisy of the United States

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/18/malaysia-airlines-crash-flight-recorder-found-as-anger-at-russia-mounts-live-updates  MH17 crash: flight recorder found as anger at Russia mounts: US criticises Russia for arming rebels The wreckage of Boeing 777 flight MH17 "US criticises Russia for arming rebels" The hypocrisy of the US State Department, Congress and the Whitehouse has been a source of constant amazement to me and no doubt to others over many years. This latest piece of US duplicity criticises Russia for "arming rebels" when for over three years, (and still continuing today), the United States has been pouring weapons, ammunition, supplies and money into the so called Free Syrian Army and other rebel factions in Syria including the now much condemned ISIS, in their struggle against the Bashar al-Assad regime in Damascus. Why is it that when the State Department "official" or Kerry, or Clinton, or Biden, or any of the other mendac...

The former "main parties" still ignore reality

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/05/28/yvette-cooper-labour-will-not-imitate-ukip-on-immigration_n_5406427.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Yvette Cooper: 'Labour Will Not Imitate Ukip On Immigration' Yvette Cooper   It is staggering to see yet again, how politicians in this case Labour, seek to over simplify and reduce complex circumstances to just one issue. Their failure to recognise and address what is actually happening is a symptom of all that is wrong with British politics and demonstrates that either by accident, or more likely by design, they are unable to accept that their constant repetition of previous failed policies and meaningless cliches, is no longer, if it ever was, acceptable to people in this country. The success of UKIP at the polls last week is not only about immigration, as Yvette Cooper, and many other politicians from the former main parties would have you believe. In fact their constant harping on about the "immigration issue" is bot...
