Mischievous reporting using anoymous sources again.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3376857/Get-rid-Corbyn-ll-quit-Dozens-moderate-Labour-MPs-ready-leave-Parliament.html Get rid of Corbyn or we’ll quit! Dozens of moderate Labour MPs ‘ready to leave Parliament’  (says the Daily Mail.)   Another anonymous “Shadow Cabinet minister” in a rather implausible and mischievous story (apparently repeated or copied in the Express) from the well known “friend” of the Labour Party Daily Mail. Even if a grain of truth existed in this garbage piece of “journalism”, it would only serve to reinforce the view that there are some Labour MP’s who consider themselves to be above party, above democratic process and superior to the majority of party members.

"Senior Party figures" prefer the comfort of the status quo

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-leadership-contest-senior-party-figures-forecast-doom-after-jeremy-corbyn-surge-10395071.html Senior party figures forecast doom after Jeremy Corbyn surge The "Senior party figures" referred to in this article, are the very same people who have driven the Labour party into a rump opposition, where they are likely to remain for the foreseeable future. The reason for their doom and gloom forecast for party fortunes in the event of a Corbyn win are blatantly obvious. The "Senior party figures", predominately from "safe" Labour constituencies, have become too complacent and too comfortable with their positions in the commons, their inflated salaries (soon to increase by another 10%), their bottomless pit of taxpayers money there it seems purely to satisfy their insatiable appetite for the perks of the "expenses claim" scams and the prospect of someone "rocking t...

They are terrified that he could actually win and give them some real opposition.

http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/jul/15/daily-telegraph-labour-party-jeremy-corbyn Daily Telegraph urges readers to 'doom' Labour by backing Jeremy Corbyn Islington North MP Jeremy Corbyn The media, press, television and the "Blairite" sections of the Labour party, are petrified at the increasing momentum of the Jeremy Corbyn for Labour Leader campaign. The Guardian, Telegraph,Independent, Mail and others are queuing to smear, rubbish and discredit the man who is striking a chord with vast sections of the public and withing the wider Labour party. When your enemies are so vitriolic, you are doing it right.

When "fairness" means "self interest and hatred"

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/04/06/benefit-reforms-cameron-welfare-_n_3029737.html?utm_hp_ref=uk   Benefit Reforms Are Putting 'Fairness Back At Heart Of Britain' Says Cameron   Wrong Cameron. Benefit "reforms" are generating division, self interest and hatred in Britain. Ensuring that society is divided against itself on the question of welfare, is yet another tactic in the "divide and rule" philosophy employed by the Tory's since 1918 and even before. This time however, you have gone too far as more and more people recognise the pernicious cynicism of Tory intent. Rothermere of the Daily Mail and even News International may provide you, Osborne and the others with a platform to peddle your hypocritical ""We are putting fairness back at the heart of Britain" deception, but for many the mask of Tory rectitude has been removed.

Inciting schisms for political purposes.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/apr/05/pm-osborne-linking-philpott-welfare  Cameron backs Osborne over comments linking Philpott case to welfare. .   David Cameron has strongly endorsed controversial comments by George Osborne, in which the chancellor highlighted the killing of six children by Mick Philpott to raise questions about welfare payments The Tory leader now joins Osborne in the slime of the sewers along side the Daily Mail. The stench of government malevolence now emanating from Downing Street, contaminates British politics and ensures that the divisions between those who have and those who have not, will grow wider and more bitter. The polarisation of society is inevitable and irreversible as the Tories pursue their campaign of contempt and injustice.

Osborne links Philpott case to benefit reform

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/04/04/ed-balls-osborne-mick-philpott_n_3015920.html?1365098757&utm_hp_ref=uk   THE CYNICAL ACT OF A DESPERATE CHANCELLOR Chancellor George Osborne   Consider carefully what Osborne said. "....subsidising lifestyles like that". How will Osborne, or anyone else for that matter, differentiate between Philpott and his family from Derby, and the Smith family of the same size living in Warrington? Is there an assumption that any family with more than a specified number of children, are automatically scroungers living on welfare benefits? Osborne is on very thin ice when seeking to make political capital out of this case. It was not the "welfare state" that was responsible for this crime, nor was it the Philpott "family" collectively. It was Mick Philpott and two accomplices who carried out this appalling act. Specifically describing Philpott, Judge Mrs Justice Thirlwall commen...

The most despicable and reprehensible excesses of British newspaper "reporting".

The Daily Mail exceeds all limits of decency and responsible news coverage. The "vile" Daily Mail.  This front page, taken from today's Daily Mail, rates amongst the most despicable and reprehensible excesses of British newspaper "reporting", standing alongside and arguably exceeding the Hillsborough coverage by the Sun. For any "Newspaper" to suggest that a criminal act of such evil motivation and tragic outcome, is a consequence of a welfare state established to protect the health and well-being of its citizens, especially those in financial or social need, is an insult to to the ideal of the system and every single person reliant on it. True there are those people, such as Mick Philpott who abuse the system, but that does not excuse or justify the warped logic of the Daily Mail to imply that all benefit claimants are of the same inclination. The Daily Mail abuses its position to make snide political points, as their contribution to the o...

Crossing the line.

The Daily Mail has just been deleted from my "news sources" list. This "newspaper" is today (12th September 2012), filled with more obnoxious, biased articles and associated comments from moronic "readers comments" contributors, than I have ever seen. Editing or failing to publish comments in order to promote the Proprietors political or personal view has long been part and parcel of the media circus and thus is an accepted part of debate on the issues of the day. However, when reporting of events becomes no more than a vehicle to promote and champion attacks on working people, or Trade Unions, or Disabled, or individuals then such a "newspaper" crosses the line between decency and obscenity. Today the Mail crossed that line. Another worrying feature of the Mail over recent months is the way in which articles have been so constructed, that an Israeli attack on Iran is not only justifiable but is also encouraged as a righte...

A stained glass window for St Tony Blair?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2190395/A-stained-glass-window-St-Tony-Blair-Do-come-.html A comedian managed to walk past armed police and film inside Tony Blair’s home as part of a new satirical BBC series. This poor wretch has been the subject of vilification and scorn (and rightly so, in my opinion) for long enough. He should be allowed to retire gracefully to spend his autumn years in a softly lit room in a very quiet building in the country, contemplating his deeds over the years since parachuting in to destroy the Labour party. He could create his own version of history and write a book full of fairy tales and quests for the lost dragons of WMD. Perhaps in this way, we could be spared of his popping up with monotonous regularity in some story or other in our newspapers. In the case of the Daily Mail, I use the word "Newspaper" in its widest possible context.

Daily Mail sinks to new depths in their crusade against working people.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article- An article which demonstrates the depths of obscenity and distortion that media will sink to when demonising working people and those who represent them. It's Torquay not Bermuda. You hypocritical morons of the Daily Mail and many of your "comments" contributors, fail to see the irony of IMF/European leaders/G20/etc having lavish banquets and hot air exchanges in exotic locations at other p eople expense and a guy having a can of beer between seminars. Mail you really are the pits. Print this if you have the nerve. It's also posted on Facebook/Twitter/and my blog so people will read it anyway.
