During that 80 minutes, incidents occur which could affect the ultimate outcome of the game. A knock forward results in the “wrong” side being given the put in at the scrum, an infringement at the line out leads to a penalty award to the innocent side, a pass which everyone in the stadium says was forward, leads to a try under the posts. “Incidents” such as these and others, happen in every game of rugby and every other team game you coul d think of. In golf, these incidents are referred to as a “rub of the green”. It just so happens that this “rub of the green” occurred in the 79th minute and resulted in a win for the Australians. An early World Cup farewell

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/oct/10/englands-henry-slade-shines-in-early-world-cup-farewell-against-uruguay England’s fans will look back in anger at World Cup after hollow victory                                                  England  60  -  3  Uruguay We (England), managed to beat Fiji and Uruguay. Hardly two of the greatest rugby playing nations of the world. We did not however come any where near to beating Australia and were fortunate in only losing to Wales by 3 points. Where does this leave English Rugby? Either, we do not have the necessary quality of players to compete at the highest levels of the game or we do not have the managerial skills to weld our players into a formidable, ruthless machine to drive over the top of any opposition to win ball and score tries. Now I was one of those people wh...

But for the relatives of the 239 passengers and crew, the failure to retrieve a single piece of debris to date is excruciating. Kathy Marks, "Independent":Saturday 29 March 2014 "Tantalisingly close to finding the wreckage". Now what on earth does that mean? "Wreckage" is either there, or it isn't. Kathy Marks, "Independent" reporter and author of this piece of journalistic nonsense, joins what seems to be a growing trend amongst "journalists" of the "Independent" by writing stories using "s...

An official State Government policy for the killing of protected species.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/australia/10611526/Thousands-rally-against-shark-cull-in-Australia.html Thousands rally against shark cull in Australia It is their environment.   Killing hundreds, (if not thousands), of sharks and anything else which happens to take the bait on these disgusting baited drum lines with hooks, is a cruel and barbaric practice. When the only purpose of the "cull" is to prevent  shark attacks on humans, the policy is even more obscene. In any event, this policy of slaughter will have little if any effect on the number of shark attacks which average 15 per year and of those only one proves fatal.  Colin Barnett holding a hook, part of the baited drum line This policy is another example of cruelty against animals for no reason other than human indulgence. Many sharks are in fact endangered species and there are international agreements to protect them, particularly the Great White....
