Why no mention of David Cameron's father and senior Tory figures named in 'Panama Papers' leak?

http://www.theguardian.com/news/2016/apr/03/panama-papers-money-hidden-offshore?CMP=share_btn_fb A network of secret offshore deals and vast loans worth $2bn has laid a trail to Russia’s president,  Vladimir Putin . Sky New, BBC news and the rest of the British media have been running this story since last night. All share the same slant in that they all repeatedly stress the connection of Vladimir Putin with Mossack Fonseca and the sleasy dealing in offshore bank accounts and money laundering What they also share, is a complete disregard of the names or suggestions of the identities of the British politicians and their connections with money laundering and other distasteful financial activities referred to in the millions of files leaked. Former Tory MPs, donors and David Cameron's father among those named If the media must respond to government "guidelines" to ramp up the anti Russian/anti Putin propaganda and play down any suggestion of sleaze ...

A recipe for disaster?

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/02/us-coalition-warns-russia-putin-extremism-syria-isis Obama says Russian strategy in Syria is ‘recipe for disaster’   Obama says Russian strategy in Syria is ‘recipe for disaster’. A statement presumably made to convince a skeptical world that the American "strategy" is the only strategy which will resolve the Syrian civil war and bring peace to that troubled area. What President Obama actually means of course, is that any "strategy" which does not recognise and accept the American interpretation of who are the "good guys" in this conflict and therefore should be supported, armed and financed by  the "international community", is wrong and doomed to failure. On the other hand, those groups involved in the civil war of whom the United States disapprove of politically or more likely see no prospect of gaining economic, military or influential advantage from in the "reconstruction...

Another G conference for promises, food and photo opportunities

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/politics/g20-summit-enter-putin-accompanied-by-four-warships-to-the-sound-of-mockery-9862465.html G20 summit: Enter Putin. Accompanied by four warships. To the sound of mockery There will be around 7000 delegates at the 2014 G20 Conference   Another "G" some number or other gathering for a load of mostly nondescript, non entity politicians to meet together and shake hands, smile and try to give the assembled paparazzi the image of being very, very important. In reality of course, the "G" some number or other will be exactly the same as all the others. An almost endless round of hot air "meetings" usually over snacks, many photo opportunities for the family album, countless promises of financial or economic aid for some country, (which historically has been words promising aid and resulting in only a fraction of the promised assistance), side meetings over sandwiches, not cheese and Branson pickle I woul...

United States foreign policy, is part of the problem, not the solution.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/putin-accuses-us-of-causing-global-instability-9816775.html    Putin says US 'throwing its might' is to blame for almost all the world's major conflicts President Vladimir Putin   Whether we like Putin or not, we cannot escape the reality that he is absolutely right. Viet Nam, Grenada, Panama, Chile, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, and numerous other places together with countless covert operations against democratic (and non democratic) governments and countries around the world provide compelling evidence that American foreign policy since 1945 is based upon a policy of intervention, which itself causes global instability. The "shoulder to shoulder, pro America, the United States can do no wrong", lobby will no doubt respond to the comments coming out of Sochi, with the usual hysterical anti Russian, but predominately anti Putin, rhetoric, as if shouting insults and personal abuse s...

The "Playground Bully" rounding up his "gang"

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/01/nato-high-readiness-spearhead-force-counter-russian-threat Nato to create high-readiness force to counter Russian threat       US President Obama and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen Complete lunacy from Anders Fogh Rasmussen, trotting out  words scripted in Washington under the guise of, "NATO says". The playground bully of Washington wearing its NATO cape,  wanders around dragooning other people into their "gang", to intimidate Russia to bow to Uncle Sam and succumb to the Great American plan for the world. As many (but not all unfortunately) learned from their school days in the "quad", the way to deal with the bully is to look him firmly in the eye, deliver a swift size 10 or whatever between his thighs and cause his nose to bleed profusely with either fist or forehead. Should  Rasmussen, Obama or any other incumbent of the Whitehouse expect me to have any part, no matte...

The European Union, NATO and the unfolding conflict in Ukraine.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-crisis-eu-summit-seeks-to-show-it-backs-kiev-9701806.html EU summit seeks to show it backs Kiev   Pro Russia militia in Ukraine Why is NATO with its mouthpiece Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the European Union, with as many mouth pieces as there are member states and not quite behind the scenes, the ringmaster United States, engineering a confrontation with Russia? Rasmussen bleats that it is unacceptable for "foreign" troops to be in another country's territory and yet fails (presumably) to see the irony with the comparison to Iraq or Afghanistan or Syria. E U Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, mumbles that, "it isn't too late for a political solution", presumably with the implied threat that E U troops would go trundling over the border grab Ukraine (Unlikely, just looked what happened the last time a European "leader" had the same idea). All the while in the background some...

Manufacture a "confrontation" to achieve the real objective.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/26/nato-east-european-bases-counter-russian-threat NATO plans east European bases to counter "Russian threat" NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen   It has always been about creating NATO bases in Ukraine. The entire Kiev, Moscow confrontation has been engineered by "the west" (aka the United States and US dominated NATO), using the European Union links and ultimate membership dispute in justification. NATO The ousting an elected President (whether we like ,Viktor Yanukovych or not,), to install the pro western, pro European government of Petro Poroshenkoof is not an unusual occurrence or tactic in American politics. It is a foreign policy, still very much in use today, which has numerous files under the collective title of "Replacing a few enemies with a few friends". In the Ukraine, it is a not very subtle excuse being used as a front for basing American missiles and personnel along pra...

The hypocrisy of the United States

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/18/malaysia-airlines-crash-flight-recorder-found-as-anger-at-russia-mounts-live-updates  MH17 crash: flight recorder found as anger at Russia mounts: US criticises Russia for arming rebels The wreckage of Boeing 777 flight MH17 "US criticises Russia for arming rebels" The hypocrisy of the US State Department, Congress and the Whitehouse has been a source of constant amazement to me and no doubt to others over many years. This latest piece of US duplicity criticises Russia for "arming rebels" when for over three years, (and still continuing today), the United States has been pouring weapons, ammunition, supplies and money into the so called Free Syrian Army and other rebel factions in Syria including the now much condemned ISIS, in their struggle against the Bashar al-Assad regime in Damascus. Why is it that when the State Department "official" or Kerry, or Clinton, or Biden, or any of the other mendac...

American "Aegis" missile system to be on installed Russia's doorstep.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/22/us-test-fires-aegis-missile-defence-system-destined-for-europe US test-fires Aegis missile defence system destined for Europe  Aegis missile defence system, which is to be stationed in Europe by the US and Nato This is the latest technology missile system which the United States (in its NATO identity) plans to install in Europe. Or, more specifically, in the former Warsaw pact countries, which now are part of the NATO alliance and include Czech Republic,Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, etc.etc. It is an "open top secret" that some of these countries already have American missiles based withing their borders and replacing them with the latest equipment together with installing missiles in the other member states, is the current objective. The addition of Ukraine into NATO is, and remains, a prime American goal. It is hardly surprising that the events over the past months in...

Prince Charles and Hillary Clinton are not "historians".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/prince-charles-compared-putin-to-hitler-9406703.html   Prince Charles 'compared Putin to Hitler'           Considering the education (at our expense of course), which this extensively privileged heir to the throne has received, it is worrying to note that when it comes to history, his knowledge is on a par with that of Hilary Clinton, who made the same (erroneous) comparison in March of this year ( http://new-agenda2012.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/history-is-not-hillarys-best-subject.html ). To compare the German invasion of the USSR in June 1941 and particularly the Wehrmacht advances into Ukraine, with the events of the last few months is a spurious distortion of reality which either by accident or design, completely ignores the diametrically opposed motivations of Hitler and Putin,  and moreover the desires and aspirations of the people of Ukraine and C...

They still intend to attack Syria, no matter what the world may say or do.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/james-snell/syria-conflict_b_5179532.html?ir=UK+Politics     Syria's Bashar al Assad is "using lethal chlorine gas",  Western leaders fear. Syria calls Presidential election. "The Obama administration and its allies believe the Syrian government may have used chlorine gas in a deadly attack this month" War mongering interventionists, still clamoring to become involved in the Syrian civil war and still seriously miffed that their ambitions were thwarted. History is littered with examples of how seriously disturbed politicians and militarists, avidly supported by certain elements of the industrial sector, will continually seek to undermine and demonise any opposition to their expansionist agenda, and overturn any decisions which prevent them from carrying out their malevolent intentions. We should all hope that the hypocritical rantings on both sides of the Atlantic, of voices even now still seeking to atta...

The return of the Neocon madness.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/15/ukraine-armed-conflict-east Ukraine on the brink as troops take on rebels Hague warns of ‘serious consequences’ for Russia The American and British fingers in the pot stirring up unrest in Ukraine. Why was John Owen Brennan in Kiev over the weekend? (John Owen Brennan is head of the CIA). Events of the last few hours prove the point. John Owen Brennan was clearly passing on "Go" instructions for an attack on the separatists. American hypocrisy has no limits or subtlety. This has all the indications for another "success" story for American/British foreign policy. Not content with getting it spectacularly wrong in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya (to name but three), being frustrated in their ambitions in Syria and Iran, they now turn their sights on the Ukraine, Will no one rid the world of the meddlesome, trouble making interference of Obama, Kerry, Hague, Ashton and the others seeking to extend ...

Threats or Diplomacy? It depends on who you listen to.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/28/exclusive-russia-ukraine_n_5052313.html?ir=UK&ref=topbar Russia Threatened Countries Ahead Of UN Vote On Ukraine, Diplomats Say     Blackmail or diplomacy?     When Russia "persuades" other nations to vote (or not) in a particular way, such actions are described as threats and blackmail. When the United States (and the United Kingdom), use the same tactics, it is described as lobbying and diplomacy. The arrogance and hypocrisy of the USA, the UK and the vast majority of the western media, is truly breathtaking.

Toothless sanctions having little noticeable effect on Russia’s economy
