Conspirators emerging from the shadows of anonymity

Blairites launch bid to  topple  Jeremy Corbyn Margaret Hodge,  Ann Coffey and Jeremy Corbyn   During the course of the past few days, since the result of the EU membership referendum was announced in fact, the conspirators within the Parliamentary Labour Party (the PLP) seem to have been emboldened in their crusade to remove Jeremy Corbyn from the leadership. A crusade which has been smoldering within the PLP and supported by the media, has now been given impetus by the PLP disappointment with the referendum result and has encouraged the conspirators to break cover and table a "no confidence" motion in the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn. Over the past 36 hours, Margaret Hodge and Ann Coffey have tabled a "no confidence" motion, to be closely followed by John Mann (who will grasp any opportunity to advance his own agenda), adding his "weight" to the "Plot". Caroline Flint Tristram Hunt ...

Another coup attemp by the PLP

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-mps-table-motion-of-no-confidence-in-jeremy-corbyn-a7100561.html Jeremy Corbyn faces no-confidence motion after Britain votes to leave EU, Margaret Hodge and Ann Coffey, two of the usual suspects within the Parliamentary Labour Party, who have always been eager to grasp any opportunity ( or even straw ), to pour scorn and derision on Corbyn and the party leadership. Hodge and Coffey, have consistently shown Blairite tendencies and after their candidate in last years leadership election managed to disappear into the obscurity, they have, since that time been plotting and conspiring with the others of that persuasion to smear and undermine Corbyn as they are unable to accept the decision of the membership and the 64% vote which put Corbyn into the position. In this exercise of duplicitous sedition, the conspirators have been aided and supported by a media and television, hostile to the Labour party and its electe...

Yet another hypocritical intervention.

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/08/tony-blair-accuses-jeremy-corbyn-of-standing-by-as-syria-is-bombed?CMP=share_btn_fb#_=_ Tony Blair accuses Jeremy Corbyn of standing by as Syria is bombed This squalid intervention from Blair, rates as one of the worst to date. The hypocrisy from this wretched man is stunning, in his crude attempt to further undermine the leadership of the Labour party. Blair took this country into illegal wars which led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's and ultimately to the creation of ISIS. Blair who "stood by and did nothing", as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were killed in Gaza by white phosphorous and other interna tionally outlawed weapons. This duplicitous miscreant, led the Labour party to three election victories, based on the illusion that Conservative policies could somehow be packaged into an alternative programme to benefit the ordinary people of this country. The declining votes at successiv...

Discredited Blair offering more "advice"

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/may/28/tony-blair-corbyn-government-dangerous-experiment Tony Blair: Corbyn government would be a dangerous experiment Again, Blair crawls out from beneath his stone to be granted publicity from the Guardian. The very rich warmonger, liar and traitor has the audacity to offer yet more "advice" to a party he (along with Mandelson, Campbell and Brown) destroyed. Blair fails to accept that the party he once led, has passed into history and his philosophy is as discredited as he himself is. With the exception of a few duplicitous "Blairite" agitators with the PLP, who yearn for the return of their messiah (or some one in the same mould), Blair has nothing to say to today's party and its leadership.

Debate should focus on taking on the Tories, not on personality

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/may/09/jeremy-corbyn-labour-not-doing-enough-to-win-2020-general-election#comment-73924775 Labour not doing enough to win 2020 general election, says Jeremy Corbyn The Guardian applying the usual slant to promote its own agenda. Rowena Mason and Anushka Asthana, two of the Guardian's “journalists” and known to be hostile to the Labour party leadership, write an article which has become the norm for a “newspaper”, which, i t should be remembered supported Cooper and Kendall in the leadership election, and also joined the "anyone but Corbyn" clique. Anushka Asthana Rowena Mason The Jeremy Corbyn comments, released before a meeting of Labour MPs and peers, demonstrate the recognition that the Labour party has work to do. “We are not yet doing enough to win in 2020.” Corbyn said, “focus on taking on the Tories” and “debates to be...

Sections of the PLP has been trying our patience for long enough

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-should-resign-says-labour-mp-who-agrees-with-him-in-opposing-syria-air-strikes-a6751056.html Jeremy Corbyn should resign, say senior Labour MPs The days of turning the other cheek are over. For many months elements the PLP have been trying the patience of thousands of Labour party members and supporters around the country with the almost incessant criticism, plotting, self serving articles, all designed to further their own interests and override and reverse the democratic decision taken by more than 250,000 party members in the leadership ballot and supported by thousands more people around the country. The despicable and unacceptable face of today's PLP. Jeremy Corbyn's shadow cabinet Those party members who value democratic decisions and support the current leadership, must now unite against the reactionaries within the PLP and fight back with whatever means may be available...

All Trade Unions links with the Labour party should be severed completely

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/feb/27/unite-labour-possible-funding-cut  "Unite" to consider cut in affiliation fees. Len McCluskey  general secretary of Unite    The Labour Party was destroyed by Blair, Mandellson, Brown, Campbell and the other conspirators of "New Labour", many of whom still sit in the Commons today. Len McCluskey is stating what many trade unions are now accepting as fact, rather than the rhetoric of Miliband minor and the rest of the party "leadership" are trotting out in seeking to preserve their positions. It is time that the TUC and all affiliated organisation followed the lead of Unite and dumped the Labour party completely.

The shadow of Blair at the next election.

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2013/dec/07/secret-memo-blairites-labour-election-alastair-campbell-alan-milburn-ed-miliband?commentpage=11 Secret memo shows key role for Blairites in Labour's election team: Alastair Campbell and Alan Milburn to advise Ed Miliband Tony Blair.   Alistair Campbell Alan Milburn The sinister shadow of Blair and his accomplices, has been lurking in the dark recesses of the Labour party for some years. Now it seems that they are prepared to throw off the cloak and bid again for dominance in what was once the party for working people and for those in our society least able to defend themselves. If anyone was, even fleetingly, thinking about returning to the Labour party fold in the belief that Miliband and his people may, just, be regaining a semblance of principle in the struggle against corporate greed, ConDem coalition and Tory excesses, they will be sadly disappointed on learning this news. These p...

A speech of froth, cliche and patronising comment

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2013/sep/10/ed-miliband-tuc-speech-lukewarm-reception Ed Miliband's TUC speech receives lukewarm reception   Having watched the whole of Ed Miliband's televised speech to the TUC yesterday,(10th September 2013) and the subsequent session of planted questions, it was noticeable how restrained the delegates were in their responses to the Labour Party's leader. This is not particularly surprising when you consider that Miliband's offering was more froth than content and that the speech was full of cliche, feeble attempts at humour and patronising remarks about the "backbone of Britain",  "the vision of our founders"and "hearing from the people who are your members" and at the end of a twenty minute performance, a reference to his  " vision" of a one nation Britain .  A poor performance which offered little, other than a vague reference that a future Labour government would legi...

Ed Miliband and his attack on the Trade Union movement.

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/the-unions-should-realise--this-isnt-an-attack-8805135.html     Donald Macintyre is off target when he suggests that "The unions should realise - this isn't an attack"   Donald Macintyre: Independant   Miliband seems to have forgotten, or is conveniently ignoring, what many other Labour party leaders since Clement Attlee, have also ignored. The relationship between the Labour Party and the TUC, and the wider Trade Union movement, is an historic one dating back to 1900. It should be a relationship where the Parliamentary Labour Party, (the MP's) should have as its primary objective the representation and well being of working people in this country. The same objective in fact as the TUC. In this context, “working people” is used in its wider definition, to include employed and unemployed, the disabled, the sick, benefit claimants in fact the whole spectrum of society. Over recen...
