The Americans spy on everyone.

Bradley Manning, Julian Assange and probably others. It has nothing to do with leaking "state secrets" or  putting the country's intelligence network at risk or compromising "sources". It is and always has been, about embarrassing the American government and the security organisations, by exposing their dubious and illegal intelligence gathering methods and the way in which they assume that they are above the laws of any country, including their own. Edward Snowden   The arrogance of the American establishment is breath taking in their deeply held conviction that they have some automatic right to spy on anyone they choose ...

Character assassination and cheap personal jibes,

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/anne-speckhard/chelsea-manning-transgender_b_3797221.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Chelsea Manning's Transgender Dilemma in the US Military - A Secret That Needed to Be Told? Is it absolutely necessary to have Manning's sexuality and transgender dilemma spread all over the media? His "crime" was to expose United States government malpractice, lies and war crimes. It is enough that he has been given 35 years, but to add character assassination and cheap personal jibes, stinks of spite and malice. Those in government responsible for this odious campaign should be ashamed, but with the clearly demonstrated attitudes and prejudices of those responsible for the prosecution in the first place, shame is not a word in their dictionary.

A prosecution arising from pique.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/judge-casts-doubt-on-damage-caused-by-whistleblower-bradley-mannings-leaks-of-secret-us-data-8750981.html Judge casts doubt on damage caused by whistleblower Bradley Manning’s leaks of secret US data Bradley Manning Assange, Snowden and Manning   Manning's prosecution was never more than a temper tantrum from the American government, because someone had the audacity to tell the truth and expose government and military wrong doing. The American administration was embarrassed, furious and vindictive in its compulsion to put Manning on trial and press for the severest punishment possible. Manning was to be made an example of, a lesson for any other person who may have some "problems" with American policy or action and consequently seeks to expose excesses and wrong doings carried out by the government in the name of "peace and freedom". A similar fate would await Assange in the event that Amer...

The issue is extradition not "sex crimes".

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/02/15/julian-assange-ecuadorian-embassy-police-costs-_n_2696532.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Metropolitan Police officers have been stationed outside the Ecuadorian embassy in Knightsbridge around the clock since June last year. It has cost taxpayers £2.9 million. Julian Assange  We seem to be loosing sight of the real issues here, and the British media and television are instrumental in leading the diversions. The fact of the matter is simple. The United States want Julian Assange in the dock standing next to Bradley Manning. It would be easier for Assange to be extradited from Sweden than here, therefore the objective is to remove Assange from the UK and get him to Stockholm. If Assange has sex questions (no charges have yet been made) to answer, then the Swedish authorities should come here to carry out an interview. There have always been contradictory features surrounding the allegations but the smoke and mirrors crea...

Evidence, inadmissable as "Not relevant".

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jan/17/bradley-manning-denied-chance-whistleblower-defence Judge rules that Manning will not be allowed to present evidence about his motives. Colonel Denise Lind ruled that general issues of motive were not relevant to the trial stage of the court martial. Bradley Manning faces charges that include aiding the enemy The Americans are determined to achieve a conviction no matter what they have to do to secure one. This would be the same fate that would befall Julian Assange, if American pressure for his extradition were to succeed. Ruling that great chunks of evidence are inadmissible, particularly where such evidence could be embarrassing to the government is reminiscent of the "Show Trials" of the 1930's in the Soviet Union.   Moscow ' Show Trials '. In 1936 In this respect there seem little to choose between today's USA and Stalin's USSR.

The Smokescreen to hide a Conspiracy

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/08/21/craig-murray-names-assange-rape-victim-newsnight_n_1815200.html?utm_hp_ref=uk An outrageous and vile example of how the media and some other individuals are attempting to turn public opinion away from the main issue of this whole argument and substitute Swedish allegations of a "crime" which had already been dismissed by the authorities some time ago. It was only recently that these "allegations" were reopened by two individual Swedish officials for the sole purpose of getting Assange back to Sweden where he could be extradited to the United States. If these individuals wish to question him let them come to Britain. This is NOT about allegations of rape, it is about,  Assange being EXTRADITED from Sweden and together with  Manning, being put on show trial in the United States. THE SMOKESCREEN BEING GENERATED BY THE MEDIA OF PRESS AND TELEVISION TO HIDE THE CONSPIRACY BETWEEN THE UNITED KINGDOM, SWEDEN AND THE UNITED...

Extradition of Julian Assange

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/may/30/    (There are no "comments" provided for this story in the Guardian)  Hiding behind the facade of sham legality, the establishment moves towards the extradition of Julian Assange. The whole purpose of this charade is to comply with the American demand that he be deported via Sweden, to face "trial" in the US. This has nothing to do with alleged "sexual assault" charges. It is all about the embarrassment of the  US and its dubious practices being exposed for public scrutiny. "Don't shoot the messenger" one placard said, but the Americans are not interested in anything other than putting Bradley Manning and Julian Assange on trial and Europe is a willing accomplice in the conspiracy.
