Lenny Harper's investigation "negatively impacted on the force"

http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2016/05/20/police-regret-appointing-lenny-harper/ Police ‘regret’ appointing Lenny Harper "Top Cop" Lenny Harper Harper was not prepared to "Toe the official line" during his enquiries in his period in charge of the investigation into the historic child abuse. His enquiries led in many directions and upset ( or frightened) too many people who form the "establishment" in Jersey. A mouthpiece now trots out the absurd line that "Mr Harper had an ‘astonishing attitude’ to dealing with the media, which negatively impacted on the force", as part of the ongoing campaign to smear and undermine  the work Harper did during his time in Jersey. It clearly evidences, that in Jersey, the image of the States Police is of far more importance than establishing what events took place at Haute de la Garrene and other places across the island. Harper is being subjected to the same vilification and denigration that has ...

More delays to the "Independent Jersey Care Inquiry" ?

Has the "Independent Jersey Care Inquiry" actually started?   The former children's home Haut de la Garenne On the 16th March last, I wrote in New Agenda under the title of,  "The prevarication and delay of the last three years is finally over?  ( http://new-agenda2012.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/the-prvarication-and-delay-of-last.html) "At last a starting date for the long delayed "Independent Jersey Care Inquiry" is set to begin on 3 April. It remains to be seen whether, over the next three weeks, any more "points" will be found which will "have to be clarified",  before the inquiry can actually begin."  There seems to be a distinct lack of media coverage in Jersey, as there has been no mention of the start of the inquiry, as far as I am aware, in the Jersey Evening Post, Channelonline tv, or any other media outlet that I am aware of. Has this long overdue inquiry been delayed yet again? It would be stretching the ...

The prevarication and delay of the last three years is finally over?

http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2014/03/13/historical-abuse-inquiry-starting-date-announced/ Historical abuse inquiry starting date announced The former children's home Haut de la Garenne At last a starting date for the long delayed "Independent Jersey Care Inquiry" is set to begin on 3 April. It remains to be seen whether, over the next three weeks, any more "points" will be found which will "have to be clarified",  before the inquiry can actually begin.

Another round in the Jesey "witch hunt".

http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_jerseynews/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=509935 The latest Stuart Syvret court case 'pending' Former Health Minister Stuart Syvret   The witch hunt continues. A vindictive and spiteful States "establishment" determined to silence someone who dares to stand up to the excesses, duplicity and sinister secrecy of the politicians, police and judiciary. The very sad thing about the whole "States verses Syvret" story, is that there is a substantial number of islanders who actually believe the "establishment" propaganda, that Former Health Minister Stuart Syvret is "the bad guy", rather than those past and present politicians, civil servants and public figures who are the real villains.

Historic Child Abuse Inquiry:Public hearings to commence in May ?

http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_jerseynews/displayarticle.asp?id=509097 Preparations underway for Historic Abuse Inquiry   On November 6th last year, I wrote in this Blog "New Agenda", that Frances Oldham QC had been nominated to Chair the Historic Child Abuse Inquiry in place of Sally Bradley QC who was originally appointed but had to withdraw due to ill health in September. I also commented that the terms of reference debate,  originally scheduled for the end of 2012,had been  was postponed until February of 2013 and most disturbingly that in November of 2013, it was "over 12 months since the States was dragged, kicking and screaming, to the decision to actually hold an inquiry into child abuse in any case". Today we learn that, "preparations for Jersey's Historic Abuse Inquiry are well underway", Well, that's a step in the right direction. I have long been critical of the apparent prevarication, delay and obstructions wh...

Jersey media bias aids the "establishment".

http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_jerseynews/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=508078 Syvret claims he's being "victimised" says channelonline.tv.   Former Senator Stuart Syvret   Typically, this "News Channel", being part of the Jersey establishment, posts only 14 seconds of the video which is in fact, 4 minutes and 42 seconds long. Moreover, channelonline.tv has no section for "comments" with this item, demonstrating once again, that when it comes to the persecution of Stuart Syvret, the Jersey "establishment" and the methods employed to conceal the truth about the corruption, child abuse, or the abuse of office by the judiciary, police and others, will resort to any means to quash  challenges to their activities. It is only through the efforts of people like Syvret, Rico Sorda and others, blogs like "voice for children" and others, together with the use of "twitter" by numerous individuals not only in Jersey ...

Historic child abuse inquiry. Frances Oldham QC nominated to chair and two new members appointed to serve..

http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_jerseynews/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=508006 Two new members to serve on child abuse inquiry Haute de la Garenne   Sally Bradley QC was originally appointed to Chair this inquiry but had to withdraw due to ill health in September this year. A debate on the terms of reference for the inquiry, scheduled for January  was postponed until February. It is now over 12 months since the States was dragged, kicking and screaming, to the decision to actually hold an inquiry into child abuse in any case. Since then, prevarication, delay and obstructions have littered the progress of this inquiry and even today, there is no real sign as to when (if at all) the date will be set for commencement. The whole affair of historic child abuse in Jersey contains a catalogue of establishment endeavors to delay any investigation, presumably in the hope that the matter will go away, or at least that the facts will be clouded and obscured by...

A State of denial where Historic Child Abuse is concerned.

£6 million abuse inquiry will go ahead Jersey News from ITV Channel Television - channelonline.tv Savile at Haut de la Garenne Stuart Syvret   In June of last year, I posted an item under the heading of "Jersey's 'secrecy culture', commenting on how many things are common knowledge in Jersey. However, it is also a fact that there are some events in Jersey which seem to promote a state of denial within many Jersey people. One such topic is the Historic Child Abuse scandal. Yesterday I commented on this Channel Television article with  "Jersey Politicians vote in favour of abuse inquiry" on Facebook, here on my Blog "New Agenda" and in the comments column of the Channelonline.tv page. Some of the other comments on that page are quite revealing. This is a selection. Another perspective on "Historic Child Abuse" in Jersey.

Sun Sea & Satan View video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq6lJsBz9UY Filmmaker Bill Maloney You may not have watched this video. It is an interesting 59 minutes. The "beeped" comments at 34.30 "AUDIO INTERVIEW: Three senior citizens of Jersey tell their story about a major serving politician" section, refers to the story which is common knowledge on the Island, and has also been related to me by many friends and acquaintances in Jersey.  The documentary was made some years past, (2008) and the members of the States have changed since then. It is well documented in other places that there is a "secrecy culture" within the Jersey "establishment" and within the Jersey States, which has made victims of both former Jersey politicians and police investigators who have been discredited and removed from office. The victims of the "Historic Child abuse" have yet to achieve justice and many ordinary people of the Island ...

How many more are there?

http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_jerseynews/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=502856  A former Jersey Centenier has been found guilty of child sex abuse. Child Abuser & Ex Cop Ralph Mauger  Some Jersey victims at least, obtain a degree of closure. There are other perverts in addition to Mauger, in Jersey society who remain hidden and protected by the on going cover up of the historic child abuse scandal. It may take a while, but with the growing exposure and comment on numerous blogs, and other social media from sources both in Jersey and elsewhere, public pressure must eventually overcome the conspiracy of silence within the Jersey "establishment" and inaction from the States and investigative bodies.

Four years on.Jersey's 'secrecy culture' and Graham power.

http://voiceforchildren.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/unhappy-anniversary-4.html Former States police chief Graham Power  On the 4th anniversary of the suspension of Graham Power, VFC has published a statement from Graham regarding his suspension from duty and subsequent "dismissal by stealth" from his position as Chief Officer of the States of Jersey Police.  VFC also reproduces  an extract from the former Police Chief's sworn AFFIDAVIT, both of which make chilling reading.

The destruction of the Jillings report is sidelined by another BBC diversion.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/george-entwistle-handed-450000-pay-off-1431456   George Entwistle handed £450,000 pay-off for just 54 days work as BBC Director-General BBC's  director general George Entwistle Another facet of the media concentration on the BBC and its' troubles. An important story, yes, but it is not the real issue. It is remarkable that the story, revealed yesterday, on how the Jillings report that laid bare the North Wales child abuse scandal was ordered to be pulped and vast amounts of incriminating evidence was destroyed, has received little, if any, wider media coverage.

There must be an independent inquiry. It must be public and transparent

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/354945/Sex-abuse-is-guilty-secret This scandal is not only about Savile. Labour MP Tom Watson raised the issue of a paedophile ring in Parliament   "I have compiled a list of 132 utterly shameless establishment child abusers. These include MPs, lords and local Councillors. A similar list for members of Her Majesty’s Constabulary exists."   Sonia Poulton   These people must be exposed. We have already delayed for far too long and now we are in danger of wandering off down the cul de sac of the BBC navel gazing diversion. The real issues are the abuse and the on going cover up.

North Wales child abuse scandal was suppressed

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/the-jillings-report-how-the-truth-about-north-wales-child-abuse-scxandal-was-suppressed-8303903.html   The Jillings report: How the truth about North Wales child abuse scandal was suppressed   The former Bryn Estyn children's home in North Wales   A damning report that laid bare the North Wales child abuse scandal might have aired the issue of sex attacks on children in care nearly half a decade before an official judicial inquiry in 2000. Instead copies of the report were ordered to be destroyed because the council that commissioned it feared it might be sued,  This story is incredible. In my opinion, at least as newsworthy as the George Entwistle resignation, or the failures of Newsnight, or the scandal at the BBC, and yet, this article, revealing how Council insurers demanded that the first full investigation into the care home scandal was pulped, and how the Jillings Report was suppre...

A complaint to Ofcom.

The obnoxious Matthew Price. Following the Matthew Price Breakfast Show on the 9th November on BBC Radio Jersey, I lodged a formal complaint with Ofcom (under reference Number:1-221311597.) in respect of the bias of Price and his obnoxious side comments during the interviews. It may not have any effect or even be investigated, but at least it demonstrates to Radio Jersey (I have posted this on their FB page as well) that at least one person thinks that BBC Radio Jersey and Price in particular is a disgrace and an insult to genuine journalism. He should join Entwistle and vanish into obscurity.

The extent of the "historic" abuse demands the rescources to investigate.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/nov/09/north-wales-child-abuse-inquiry Concern as head of new National Crime Agency diverts resources from live investigations to inquiry into historical abuse The former Bryn Estyn children's home in Wrexham, Wales,  It is the extent of the "historic" abuse and the scale of the cover up by the establishment and the investigating authorities at the time which demands a complete investigation now. Sweeping history under the carpet by arguing that historic abuse has stopped and therefore is not worthy of investigation is a vile and reprehensible response to the current requirements for investigation.  Notwithstanding the public utterances of  some "senior police officers and experts"  the motives of those individuals who question the continuation of investigations into historic abuse, should be closely scrutinised.

The BBC must not take centre stage.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/bbc-and-victim-apologise-to-lord-mcalpine-after-admitting-abuse-claims-were-a-case-of-mistaken-identity-8301293.html BBC's Newsnight must not become the dominating issue. Mr. Steve Messham Before everyone rushes off down another cul de sac of disinformation, just stop and think for a moment about yet another smokescreen, produced by what ever forces are so determined to conceal the extent of and subsequent cover up of, child abuse in this country. Quite rightly, it seems, Lord McAlpine has received an apology for being identified on the internet, following a BBC Newsnight feature concerning allegations in respect of a North Wales care home. A victim of the abuse, Mr. Steve Messham, now admits that he “ misidentified” the Tory peer as taking part in abuse. The result of this has been immediate outrage directed against the BBC and Newsnight in particular, the cancellation of all current Newsnight investigations, the orde...

New terms for child abuse inquiry

http://thejerseyway.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/question-without-answers-061112.html   Jersey politicians will be asked to agree to the terms of an independent investigation into historical child abuse in the island. The Council of Ministers has published its terms for the committee of inquiry. States of Jersey Building Even a new inquiry has its terms of reference drafted to ensure that there are still elements of the scandal which could  remain concealed. There is something very rotten in the States of Jersey which demands outside investigation and exposure. The Jersey establishment have for far too long enjoyed immunity from accountability for its nefarious activities  in many areas of Jersey life,  not only in the historic child abuse obscenity. The net is closing on those individuals from the past and in the present either involved in the excesses or instrumental in the cover up. The prevarications and not very well hidden attempts to e...
