The Clinton machine stitched up Bernie Sanders so the American people (and the rest of us) got Donald Trump.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/presidential-election-donald-trump-would-have-lost-if-bernie-sanders-had-been-the-candidate-a7406346.html Trump would have lost the election had Bernie Sanders been the candidate. Bernie Sanders was stitched up and removed from the Presidential Candidates selection process by the Clinton machine and by Clinton money. His subsequent endorsement of Clinton came as a surprise and even shock, to those who believed and still believe that he was the only Democrat who could beat Trump. Clinton represented the corrupt, hypocritical and dis credited character of American politics, offering nothing but more of the same, a continuation of the status quo, to millions of people who already felt excluded, left behind by the "American dream". Bernie Sanders offered a real change to politics in the United States, a change which would reach out to people to make them be part of society, to be included, to be part of, rather ...

An awful prospect for the world

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jun/06/hillary-clinton-clinches-democratic-presidential-nomination-ap-count#comment-75797336 Hillary Clinton has delegates to clinch Democratic nomination, says AP count I rarely comment on the American political scene, as I believe that it is a domestic matter which should be for those who live there. However, when it comes to the choice of a President, there is a difference. The President is according to reports, the "leader of the free world holding the most powerful position on the planet". Consequently, as one of those being "led" (though not an American), I feel that I should be allowed to comment on the presidential race for the Whitehouse. According to reports, Hillary Clinton has secured sufficient delegates to become the Democratic nominee to run against Donald Trump for the Presidency. What an awful prospect for the world, let alone the American people. The screeching hysterical megalo...

United States tried to manipulate the outcome of Afghan presidential election in 2009.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/10/us-hamid-karzai-afghan-elections-robert-gates US 'tried to oust Hamid Karzai by manipulating Afghan elections' Robert Gates, former Defence Secretary   A little ironic. Hamid Karzai was a "consultant" for Halliburton, a contractor for the CIA and was a close friend of the Bush family for many years prior to being "elected" with massive American support, as President of Afghanistan in 2004, having been effectively filling the post since the  "Loya Jirga" or "Grand Assembly" of 2002, again with American support.  Strange then that Robert Gates, former Defence Secretary, should now reveal that the US tried to remove Karzai in the 2009 elections. President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan   Perhaps it is an example of the falling out of thieves.

Romney seeking the Jewish American vote.

http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/after-a-day-meeting-israel-s-leaders-romney-gives-speech-in-jerusalem-1.454386 After a day meeting Israel's leaders, Romney gives speech in Jerusalem  Romney's staff picked the 150 guests carefully. Religious American immigrants dominated the crowd; secular Jews and native-born Israelis were few and far between. Those present included Jewish-American millionaires, settler leaders like the former chairman of the Yesha Council of settlements Israel Harel, and former Netanyahu aides such as Dore Gold, Naftali Bennett, Ayelet Shaked and Yoaz Hendel. This was not a speech. It was a crass and blatant pitch for the Jewish American vote at the November election, in exchange for the promise of American support for Israel actions against Iran, Palestine and its people and anyone else who criticises or opposes Israeli aggression and barbarism. In other words, Romney said that Israel can do whatever it likes to anyone...

The conclusion of the Egyptian revolution? Not quite.

http://www.guardian.co.uk   Muslim Brotherhood candidate's win is the best outcome of an election that leaves the military as the power behind the throne  Within hours of the result being declared, and while our television screens were still showing the scenes from Tarir Square, William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, the US State Department, the Daily Mail and many of its readers comments were leaping in with their “advice/instructions”, as to how the new President of Egypt should manage the country. This mind set is primarily associated with an almost obsessive compulsion in the west and with the larger part of the western media, to immediately conclude that any title of a party or group which contains the word Muslim, or Islamist is automatically hostile and must be isolated. The fact that Muslim Brotherhood was a banned organisation and the new President Mohammed Morsi spent many years in prison under the Mubarak regime, indicates the extent to which w...
