Prince Charles and Hillary Clinton are not "historians".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/prince-charles-compared-putin-to-hitler-9406703.html   Prince Charles 'compared Putin to Hitler'           Considering the education (at our expense of course), which this extensively privileged heir to the throne has received, it is worrying to note that when it comes to history, his knowledge is on a par with that of Hilary Clinton, who made the same (erroneous) comparison in March of this year ( http://new-agenda2012.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/history-is-not-hillarys-best-subject.html ). To compare the German invasion of the USSR in June 1941 and particularly the Wehrmacht advances into Ukraine, with the events of the last few months is a spurious distortion of reality which either by accident or design, completely ignores the diametrically opposed motivations of Hitler and Putin,  and moreover the desires and aspirations of the people of Ukraine and C...

Dorset Music Group snubs Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, Bernie Eccleston and the al-Khalifa regime

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/11094006.VIDEO__Dorset_musical_group_snub_Grand_Prix_over_human_rights_concerns/ Dorset musical group snub Grand Prix over human rights concerns magic drum orchestra  A DORSET musical group has snubbed an invitation to play at a prestigious Formula One Grand Prix over concerns about human rights violations.   A big well done to The Magic Drum Orchestra, for taking a stand against the barbaric al-Khalifa regime and its excesses against the people of Bahrain. On Friday, 20 April 2012, I wrote in this Blog, under the heading of "CANCEL THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX " the following text, "Principle is more important that money. Ecclestone and the Bahrain Royal family grab the kudos, while the Bahrain security forces backed by the Saudi forces, continue to oppress and kill  protesters. CANCEL THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX " The oppression and civil rights abuses against the people and protestors in Bahrain continues unabated today...

British Royal family condones a barbaric, medieval autocracy

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/19/prince-charles-sword-dance-pictures_n_4814227.html?utm_hp_ref=uk#comments  Prince Charles Criticised For Taking Part In Saudi Arabian Sword Dance Prince Charles taking part in an "Ardah"   Perhaps Charles discussed and crticised the Saudi involvement in the savage repression of protestors in Bahrain.(Which remains un reported in the western press and media). The Saudi role in the Syrian civil war was also on the agenda for discussion no doubt as was the bribery and corruption associated with the lucrative arms trade between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. For as long as Charles Windsor and the rest of his family support and give comfort to the barbaric regime in Saudi Arabia and other countries with a similar record of repression and abuses of human rights, then so shall such regimes be given a charade of credibility. The Saudi Royal family have been made welcome visitors at Buckingham Palace and Downing Street for...

Not at all "like the rest of us".

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/prince-charles-is-turning-65--and-still-awaiting-his-key-job-is-he-a-guiding-light-for-the-postretirement-work-era-8937573.html  Prince Charles at 65: A portfolio of jobs and no plans to retire, so he's just like the rest of us The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall   The headline reads: " .....so he's just like the rest of us". Yes of course he is. He and "Parker Bowles" regularly visit the Kensington Foodbank to get their weekly rations and they frequently switch energy suppliers in the naive belief that they might get a better deal from another cartel member. Every 4 weeks, when his pension is paid into which ever bank account he has nominated for that purpose, he takes his "Casio" calculator and works out to the nearest penny, whether he and the Mrs. can afford to have that pound of meat for a liver and bacon treat they have been thinking about, or whether that spar...

A model development ?

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/localnews/10399894.Prince_of_Wales_wows_crowds_in_Poundbury/ THE Prince of Wales visited Poundbury to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his visionary development.       Poundbury is a blot on the landscape.  Prince Charles visited Poundbury yesterday (Friday 3rd May 2013), to mark the 20th anniversary of his model development. Poundbury Dorset. The site of Phases 3 & 4 is outlined in red   It is still a blot on the landscape and its getting bigger by the week.

Seeing through rose coloured glasses.

Once again royals are given a view of the world from inside a carefully constructed bubble, rather like the "Gents" sign on the public toilets in the railway station being covered up so that the passenger on the train is not embarrassed as the Royal Express thunders through. Perhaps the couple should have been taken to the Zaatari refugee camp or even the Bashabsheh camp, just two of the many camps established in Jordon for refugees from Syria.   Syrian refugee children at the Zaatari camp Al Bashab...
