Richard Osman has demonstrated on other programmes that he has a sharp wit and his exchanges with Clarkson (never one of my favourite "personalities) attracted so me audience reaction. The 173rd Day of 2014. Yesterday was the 21st June. The Summer Solstice, the longest day of 2014 and the day on which Pagans, Druids and others congregate at Stonehenge to greet the dawn. Today of course, is June 22nd when, as from today, the days become shorter and the moods of many people begin to decline at a rapidly increasing rate, due primarily to the lack of daylight. This assault on, compounded sometime in October, (they cant even find a standard date upon which to carry out this sabotage on people) when some faceless bureaucrat, instructs everyone in the United Kingdom to “Put your clocks back by 1 hour tonight”. No please or thank you or any of the other polite niceties of civilised behaviour, just an arbitrary “Do it”. I do detest the ritual autumn fiddling with our clocks, watches and body clocks. It was very noticeable that many of the seats in Wembley Stadium were empty. At one time the stadium would be filled to capacity, no matter which teams were on the park. Over recent years, I have noticed that it is the same at most matches leading to the final. Either the ticket prices have become un affordable for the fans (or have been brought up by corporate hospitality interests who do not really give a toss about rugby league anyway) or there is a growing dis interest in the game. In any case, it is a bit sad to see so many empty seats at the biggest spectacle that the RL has to offer.

There seems to be little logic or consistency in our judicial system. This set of animals receive sentences ranging from 2 years to a few months for 6 of them whilst the rest receive suspended sentences. These crimes were barbaric abuses of vulnerable residents, and would still be taking place today had not these evil people been exposed in Panorama. In other words, as from today, the daylight hours decrease and the evenings "draw in" leaving people like me, acutely aware, that in a few short months the clocks will be put back one hour (why don't they leave the bloody things alone) and it will be dark earlier and earlier. An open letter to Alan Duncan, Stella Creasy, Mark Oaten, Fraser Nelson and Victoria Coren, regarding last night's (31 st May 2012) Question Time on BBC Television. At 24 minutes into the programme, a Mr Simon MacCausland asked “Would the UK be justified in banning Syrian delegation members with connections to the Assad regime, from the London 2012 Olympics?” The uprising in Syria has been on going for over a year and during that time, there have been numerous atrocities carried out across the country but, regardless of who carried out this latest atrocity in Houla, be it “armed gangs” as claimed by the Assad regime, or Assad's forces and militia as claimed by the opposition, this event in itself should be recognised as a crime against humanity and those responsible should be held to account.
