Lenny Harper said he now has "no reason to doubt" that Savile was involved in indecent assault at the notorious Jersey children's home, despite there being insufficient evidence to question the Jim'll Fix It star when he was alive.
Savile's connection with the Historical Child abuse scandal in Jersey, and the Haut de la Garenne investigation has been known for some time. Savile was investigated in regard to the Jersey children's home abuse inquiry.

The inquiry found that there were allegations made against Savile but that there was
"insufficient evidence for the investigation to proceed". In view of the
other unusual things about the whole investigation, and the strange
case of the report withheld by the authorities for over a year, is this
really a surprise?
