The world ignores the fact that Israel is no different than Islamic State in its destruction of antiquities.

Can anyone please explain how Islamic State destroying antiquities in Iraq is any different from Israel destroying historic Islamic sites dating back to the Umayyad, Abbasid and Ottoman eras in occupied Jerusalem (as well as hundreds of Palestinian homes in the city).
Can anyone please also offer some explanation as to why Israeli destruction in Jerusalem (and other locations in the occupied territories) is almost totally ignored by the western media, television and governments. This is yet another example of western hypocrisy in the region and the incessant "Israel can do no wrong" mentality brought about by the collective guilty conscience in western governments.
