The Americans do not extradite any of their citizens to another country. All "Extradition Treaties" that America has with any other country in the world,only operate in one direction.
In other words, if "Uncle Sam" wants you, no matter who you are or where you live, your government will fall over backward to appease the American "justice" system and pack you off to "the Land of the Free".
Stephen Murphy's suggestion of an International Arrest Warrant (see comment in main article), may be an answer, but as things stand at the moment, Amanda Knox can feel smugly confident that the Italian authorities will never see her again.
