Halo-polishing hypocrites of the Left insult the heroes who died to defeat fascism.
Robert Hardman, writes for the Daily Mail.
"By protesting over Trump's D-Day visit, the halo-polishing hypocrites of the Left insult the heroes who died to defeat fascism" he writes with that air of self righteous indignation so common amongst those journalists, and others, who play the "defeat of fascism" card whenever criticism of the United States, or in this case criticism of the man incumbent in the White House, is voiced. I along with many others, are insulted by the words " halo-polishing hypocrites of the Left", and take strong exception to the assumption that we are somehow insulting those of all nations who took part in and died in the D Day landings of 1944. The objection to Trump and his state visit to the UK has nothing to do with D Day or any other aspect of the fight against Fascism but everything to do with Trump the racist, Trump the misogynist, Trump the warmonger and most dangerous man ever to hold the post of President of the USA, being given a State visit to this country.
Trump with his catalogue of gaffs, and dangerous acts in the Middle East or elsewhere in the world is not welcome in the UK, nor will he ever be. As for the usual bollox about the "special relationship" Hardman and others should remember that It is a myth which exists only in the minds of a few self deluding politicians and in a few sections of the media. The United States remains "friends" with the UK only when it suits United States interests and if necessary the US would drop the United Kingdom like hot bricks if they considered it expedient to do so.
As Clinton reportedly once told Blair, "The only special relationship is that which exists between the United States and Israel, and between the United States and Ireland".
As I said before, Robert Hardman writes for the Daily Mail. Robert Hardman is also a pillock.
