Jeremy Hunt accuses Stephen Hawking of 'pernicious falsehood' in NHS row
Jeremy Hunt accuses Stephen Hawking of, "most pernicious falsehoods", in respect of Haking's suggestion that the NHS was being steered towards an American style Health Insurance system and that the NHS is under threat with Hunt "cherry picking" favourable evidence to support government claims that "The NHS under Cons has seen more money, more docs and more nurses than ever in history".
Jeremey Hunt launched a spiteful and vicious attack on Hawking in attempting to defend his record as Secretary of State for Health. A post which he has held since 2012 and during that time has authorised and implemented cuts which has resulted in wards being closed, increased waiting times, fewer nurses and doctors on wards, more privatisation of elements of the NHS in health care (Virgin now provides more than 400 former NHS and social care services), junior doctors strikes and an alarming decline in the number of nurses in the profession. It is a record which Hunt has defended with lies and falsehood for the last 5 years, and he has the brazenness to accuse Stephen Hawking of peddling "pernicious falehood". Jeremy Richard Streynsham Hunt has a very unhealthy arrogant attitude and his record as Health Secretary is littered with deceit, lies and deceptions. He does not have a strong position when criticising others.
