Where are the NHS physio's?

Still bed ridden. It is now one month, 31 days in fact, since I was discharged from hospital. During my almost 7 month stay as an inpatient first in Dorchester County Hospital for perhaps 5 months then  in Bridport Hospital, the amount of physiotherapy I have received has been almost non existent. Apart from a few minutes getting to the edge of the bed and standing, or struggling along the corridor on a Zimmer frame for a short "walk" occasionally, tasks I am now even not able to achieve, the actual physiotherapy treatment has been conspicuous by its absence. Since returning home, the situation has not improved. In fact, during the last 31 days I have neither seen or even heard from the NHS in order to schedule some physiotherapy sessions here at home. It is almost as if the NHS has washed its hands of me and considers that their responsibility toward my rehabilitation will "sort itself out" over a period of time. I am now compelled to be lifted in and out ...

Keep BST all the time.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/mar/26/when-do-the-clocks-go-forward-change-2019-daylight-savings-time Sanity has returned. It is Sunday 31st March 2019 and sanity has been restored in the land as we have reverted to BST after months of Greenwich Mean Time, which has plagued many and upset countless peoples metabolism's all over the country. The person or person's unknown, who creeps around twice every year , tampering with mantle clocks, cooker and microwave clocks and numerous other time keeping devices round the home and other places, has visited perhaps for the final time, to restore sanity. It seems that there is a growing move towards keeping our clocks set to BST all year round which may of course upset a few, but will be welcomed by many. Personally, I would advocate keeping the clocks set as they are now and in March of 2020, moving them forward by another hour to create Double BST as was last seen in 1941, creating extra daylight savings but admitt...

Is this finally the end for Prime Minister Theresa May?

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/voice-mirror-theresa-best-forgotten-14196202?fbclid=IwAR3qST8BsuNfhVba-NzuryiySuzohxUxGz5fwvD7WKDJ5DPcCURt_gbLa0k Theresa May is best forgotten as she finally falls on sword. Theresa May falls on her sword says the Mirror and the Telegraph but subject to certain qualifications, which could see her still hanging around if "Her Deal" is ruled out by the speaker,or is again defeated in a vote. Just goes to show that when it comes to falling on a sword, she couldn't even get that right.

No written Constitution.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/theresa-faces-tory-showdown-tomorrow-14188604 Theresa May faces Tory showdown as MP's demand she names date to resign. There is no such thing in the United Kingdom of Gt Britain and Northern Ireland, as a written Constitution. Everything is done on custom and practice and is reliant on precedent. Thus so is the post or position of Prime Minster. A position which does not accurately exist but which over recent times of party politics has become associated with the leader of the party winning an overall majority of the seats at a general election. Thus, historically, the title of Prime Minster has always been applied or given to "the  person able to command a majority in the House of Commons". Theresa May has none of these requirements. Her party does not have an overall majority of seats  arising from the last general election, nor, particularly over the past few weeks, is she able to command a majority in the House of  Comm...

New Agenda on Sunday. Sunday March 24th

https://paper.li/f-1346065353#/ Good morning everyone. 227000 tonnes with 5500 passengers and 2000 crew Cruise liners are getting bigger every year. Some are now reaching over 200,000 tons and carrying more  than 5000 passengers, and each, so they say, equipped with the latest safety features. This week, the Viking Sky with 1300 people on board, lost all power in bad weather and began drifting toward the Norwegian coast, close to the rocks before she manage to get some anchors down.Over the next few hours, 500 passengers were airlifted to safety before she managed to restart 3 of her 4 engines and with assistance from tugs limped into a nearby port.  Viking Sky 470800 tonnes with 14500 passengers and crew Man has really learnt little over the years since 1912. There is no such thing as an unsinkable or virtually unsinkable ship and nature will always win when challenged by "Man's final triumph over the sea".  These latest passenger cruise liners ar...

The EU knows it, so do our own MPs – Theresa May is finished

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/brexit/the-eu-knows-it-so-do-our-own-mps-%E2%80%93-theresa-may-is-finished/ar-BBV5r2L PM in complete denial losing her grip on power and on reality. Loosing her grip on power. The Prime Minister Theresa May, is now in complete denial of the reality in which she finds herself. In much the same way as a child threatens to take its ball and go home, the Prime Minister again writes to all MP's, threatening that the THIRD "Meaningful Vote", may not be put before the commons next week unless there is substantial support from MP's to pass it. In order to reinforce this threat, the Prime Minister  repeats her 4 points from the meeting with the other EU leaders in Brussels. 1. We can revoke Article 50 - but that would be to betray the result of the referendum. 2. We can leave with no deal on 12 April - but the House has previously said this is not something it will support. 3. If it appears that there is not sufficient support to bring...

The recognition of Jerusalem as the capital and now acceptance of sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/21/politics/trump-golan-heights-tweet/index.html US to recognise  'Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights' Israeli forces captured and occupied the Golan Heights from Syria during the 6 Day War of 1967. Since then, the Golan has been under Israeli occupation. In 1973 during the Yom Kippur War, Syrian forces briefly recaptured the Golan before being forced back by an Israeli counter attack which reoccupied the area resulting in an occupation which persists today. In 1981, Israel passed the Golan heights Law, which effectively annexed the area, extending Israeli laws, jurisdiction and administration to all of the Golan occupied territory. During the 46 years of occupation, numerous United Nations resolutions critical of the Israeli government continuing occupation of the heights have been ignored except for the creation of a UN "Buffer Zone" in 1974. With the exception of the United States, the International...

Theresa May blames others, rather than her self..

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/overheard-voice-end-theresa-mays-14165355 It is not my fault !. Recently I wrote, albeit in a different context, that I am shocked, stunned and in a state of bewildered disbelief. I watched and heard it and yet it is still almost unbelievable that she actually said it.The Prime Minister, Theresa May seeking to absolve herself from any blame whatsoever for the chaos, confusion and deadlock in the continuing debates on the "meaningful vote", now resoundingly defeated on two separate occasions in the commons. and which she now intends to table for a third time early next week, notwithstanding that Speaker John Burcow, has ruled that no motion may be tabled three times without substantial changes in wording or content. The only change for the third attempt is a new Brexit date of 30th June which the Prime Minister is today seeking to agreement for  from the EU, but even now seems doomed as the EU has already stated that 22nd ...

Theresa May places Party before Country

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/mar/20/brexit-theresa-may-to-ask-for-three-month-delay-to-article-50 Theresa May to ask for three-month Brexit delay. Only a three month extension? In a statement from number 10 prior to her departure to Europe for her meeting with EU leaders  the Prime Minister Theresa May, confirmed that she will not be asking for a long extension and went on to state that "There is a case for giving Parliament a bit more time to agree a way forward, but the people of this country have been waiting nearly three years now. They are fed up with Parliament's failure to take a decision and the PM shares their frustration".  The interesting part of this statement and the completely hypocritical part is the suggestion that Theresa May shares the frustration of the British people in being fed up with Parliaments failure to take a decision on Brexit. The fact of the matter is that Parliament has delayed matters for almost three years yes, bu...

Constitutional Crisis?

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/mar/18/constitutional-chaos-theresa-may-third-vote-brexit-deal-blocked Citrines A B C of Chairmanship states practically the same thing. Speaker Bercow There is a rule book for Commons procedural business, Erskine May, in much the same way as Citrines ABC of Chairmanship provides guidance for business at other meetings around the country. The Speaker John Bercow has made a ruling according Erskine May and has quite rightly, ruled that the Government cannot bring a third Meaningful vote back to the Commons unless the text and content is substantially different from the text and content from that heavily defeated in the commons, twice over the past two weeks. However, judging from the reaction in the media and from some MP's, we could be excused from thinking that some seismic event had shaken the very foundations of British democracy and that Speaker Bercow had taken sides in the Brexit argument and ruled from spite a...

New Agenda on Sunday is out.

https://paper.li/f-1346065353#/ Hello everyone. Swing Low Sweet Chariot. I am still shocked. Stunned and in a state of bewildered disbelief. I saw it and yet it is still impossible to believe. How can a side be leading 31 points to nil, yes 31 nil with just 40 minuets left and then stop playing for 35 of those minuets to go seven points behind(!) ? A charged down clearance, two intercepted passes, missed tackles in abundance and the score changed into 31 points to 38 points with just five minutes to go. Then Ford manged to somehow scramble in under the posts for a try, subsequently converted, just before the referee blew for full time. Final score 38 points each. Like I said, shock and stunned disbelief. To cap it all, Wales won the Grand Slam. Another side we should have comfortably beaten, but we didn't really turn up for that game either.   The saving try. Chaos reigns. A government in turmoil, a cabinet in open rebellion and a Prime Minister wanderi...

Lets start again shall we.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/03/14/brexit-no-deal-vote-gavin-barwell-theresa-may-gang-four/ Where to now Prime Minister? Another humiliating defeat Chaos reigns. A government in turmoil, a cabinet in open rebellion and a Prime Minister wandering around in circles croaking on about "her deal or no deal", clearly demonstrate that in almost three years the government still have no idea on where they are going or even where they want to be, since Cameron stalked off in a fit of pique and spinelessness leaving others to attempt to sort out his mess. The incredible thing is that the mindless "Maybot" has stated that she intends to bring the same proposal back to the Commons next week, for a THIRD vote, blind it seems to the defeats of the last two votes on this question. Fortunately however, the speaker has the power under house of commons rules on page 397 of “Erskine May”, the Commons' rule book, to reject the motion, should h...

I am now back

Home at last. I have now (Thursday last),   returned home, following 6 months in Dorchester County Hospital, after an accident last September. The net result is that I shall never walk again. Today marks the first day of the rest of my life, so to mark the occasion I have renamed New Agenda as "Agenda 2019". Watch out for the new postings. I have missed a lot, so there will be much to post. Have a nice week
