North Korea: Theresa May calls Trump to discuss Kim Jong-un's 'illegal acts' after warning of UK attack
When ever I read about Theresa May or any of her predecessors who have occupied the position of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, speaking with the President of the United States (whoever that may be at the time), I always recall Count Rupert Mountjoy, the Prime Minister of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, and his plan to build and maintain prosperity in his tiny country though the largesse of the United States of America. Count Rupert devised the strategy to invade the USA, lose, and thus acheive American benevolence. Since 1951, British Prime Mininisters have sought American benevolence by ensuring that the UK government will support the USA no matter what. The "Special Relationship" (whatever that means), "shoulder to shoulder" and all the associated nonsense that goes with it, has ensured that the United Kingdom has been party to some very dubious and even illegal events around the world from Chile and Panama to Iraq and Libya to name just a few.

Now, it is Theresa May's turn to throw the United Kingdom's "weight" behind the current incumbent of the White House in his most recent quest. The problem this time however, is that the President has demonstrated, during his short period in office, that he sees reality rather differently to the rest of humanity and his apparent determination to attack everyone from Syria and Afgahnistan and now North Korea is the route to catastrophe.
Surely the British Prime Minister should be seeking to avert the prospect of war with the PDRNK and arguing that more sanctions and belicose rhetoric will create more problems than they solve.
Count Rupert Mountjoy got it wrong with his scheme. We seem to be intent on persuing the wrong path as well.
