The first signs of the media circus starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel to undermine Jeremy Corbyn. See Tuesday's Daily Express, Sun and Daily Mail to read almost word for word the report about the allegations of a "Secret Plot to oust Corbyn".
The usual suspects gathering in a grade two listed £144 per night luxury Farmhouse, to plan the fightback for them to take over the party. Among the revelations emerging from this "secret meeting" was the objective that, " we need to be ready to step in, win the leadership rebuild the party". A statement which clearly recognises the fact that under the present rules where the members of the party hold the power to elect their leader, this cabal of the "old school", PLP conceded that they have no prospects of winning a leadership election and therefore they conspire to usurp the democratic process. It seems that these clandestine meetings are a regular feature for these subversive elements, the latest being in May of this year.
Clearly, the media will resort to any non story, no matter how old or contrived such a story may be, in order to undermine the Labour party, since they and the establishment in this country, remain petrified of the probability that the nxt government will be Labour and Jeremy Corbyn will be Prime Minister. Having overplayed its hand, and still overplaying it in the "Labour party antisemitism" controversy, the media must now find another vehicle with which to smear and discredit the party and corbyn in particular. Their agenda is perfectly clear and it is to prevent at any cost, a Labour government following the next general election.
The motives of the usual suspects are clearly different from those of the Mail, Express and the rest of the media, but bizarrely could ultimately lead to the same eventuality. That tends to explain why the media generally gives so much support and encouragement to these critics within the party and the PLP, with numerous television interviews and extensive coverage in the newspapers with articles and  stories dominating the "Politics" sections if not the front pages. The attendees at these clandestine meetings and those who support them, seem to be blissfully unaware of the way that they are in effect, being used by the media as they pursue their own ambitions of leadership and advancement. Either unaware or perhaps fully aware, but are prepared to sacrifice electoral success with their constant attacks on the party and inflict damage in their quest to "step in, win the leadership rebuild the party"

The next government.  For the many not the few
It is tragic that while these antics are continuing, this wretched Conservative government are being allowed free rein to inflict even more damage to our society. The Labour party should be attacking the government whilst at the same time pushing for those reforms and policies which are so desperately needed in this country. Housing, NHS, welfare, poverty, taxation, BREXIT and all the other areas that we campaign on. The "usual suspects" must be made to understand the effects of their constant plotting and if they cannot accept the present situation should consider their place and position within the Labour Party.

Northern Ireland and Brexit. The return of "The Troubles"

Northern Ireland: police attacked in another night of disturbances | Northern Ireland | The Guardian When the "Brexit" debate was still filling our newspapers and our television screens, readers may remember why I had changed my mind since voting to leave at the referendum vote. Apart from the economic arguments, which had become crystal clear after peeling away all the lies and misrepresentations trotted out by Bozo Boris and his "Get Brexit Done" conspirators, there was always the problem of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Would it be possible to have a border between the European Union and the United Kingdom where people, goods and services could pass freely between the two nations without customs restrictions, tariffs, duties and all the other formalities? Would it be possible to have one part of the United Kingdom treated differently from other parts of the United Kingdom, particularly when Scotland for example had voted overwhe...

Enough of this hysterical nonsense

http://style.uk.msn.com/royal-baby/how-will-the-royal-baby-look-as-he-grows-up Media generated hysteria.                           This is too much. For the last 36 hours (thought it seems more like 36 days) there has been wall to wall news coverage, media and television comment and reporting, with Sky News taking first prize for frenzied minute by minute reporting from the Palace, the hospital, from a village somewhere in England, from the studio and anywhere else that Burley, Botting and company could stick a microphone into some obscure "celebrity's" face and ask for yet another banal quote. All this galvanising the mass hysteria of some elements of the public, (who the media would have you believe is the reaction of "the whole world",) with their flag waving, dancing, singing and cheering over what is after all, no more than a woman having a bab...

A perverse and rather sinister media obsession to discredit, smear and undermine Jeremy Corbyn

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/venezuela-jeremy-corbyn-blasted-for-not-condemning-president-maduro-a3606156.html#commentsDiv Venezuela: Jeremy Corbyn blasted for not condemning socialist President Nicolas Maduro as violent conflict escalates There is a perverse and rather sinister obsesseion with the media and particularly television "interveiwers", in seeking to secure from Jeremy Corbyn a "condemnation" of some person or organisation or event. This time it is connected with events in Venezuela and the actions of President Nicolas Maduro and the bloody crackdown on protests against the result of last weeks poll which inaugurated a constituent assembly . The media "stories" and the interrogation by the television interviewers, are as subtle as a sledgehammer being nothing more than a variation on the "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" question, which so many repoters use in order for them to make themselves appear very ...
