Alistair Campbell has resigned from the Labour party. We are not sad to see him go.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/29/alastair-campbell-says-he-no-longer-wishes-to-be-a-labour-member Alastair Campbell says he no longer wishes to be a Labour member. Alistair Campbell has left the Labour party. In a letter published in the Guardian, (where else?), Campbell has stated that the party " no longer truly represents my values, or the hopes I have for Britain", adding,  “I see no strategy in place that remotely meets the electoral or policy challenges ahead" and “Corbyn is not the leader that Labour needs at this time. He cannot deliver. Even his supporters are realising this". I left the Labour party, or more accurately the Labour party left me, at the back end of the 1980's during the last few years of Neil Kinnock's time as leader. The man  who I had campaigned for in 1983, (because Kinnock seemed the best of a bad choice from candidates, Hattersley, Heffer and Shore) soon proved that I probably should have abstained as ...

Boris is busy burning bridges, while getting into bed with Trump

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/26/brexit-deadlock-as-no-10-insists-eu-must-scrap-backstop-before-talks UK on course for no-deal Brexit as Johnson rejects EU agreement Madcap Boris, the new leader of the Conservative party, has been very busy over the last few days, annoying and alarming our European partners with his blustering rhetoric on "no deal" Brexit, and his sordid brazen attempts to get into bed with Trump. It should not surprise us too much that the American in Number 10, is seeking to bring this country even closer to the land of his birth, even though the vast majority of the people of the United Kingdom have no desire, or in so me cases no doubt, a vehement aversion to the idea of becoming quasi American citizens, notwithstanding the aspiration that Bozo and it seems a number of his sycophants around the "cabinet table" may have to the contrary. What the bonehead fails to recognise of course, is that he is burning bridges be...

Johnson, lurching from crisis to crisis.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/26/france-warns-boris-johnson-not-to-play-games-with-irish-border France warns Boris Johnson not to play games with Irish border. One of the many problems which no one in the Bozo Boris cabal of sycophants has an answer to. The ego-maniacal dork himself says control of the Irish border can be done with "new technology". Not yet invented and undeveloped "new technology" will solve the problems of border controls! Johnson lives in a world of his own and expects the rest of us to join in his fantasy reality. He is dragging us to very brink of disaster. The lemmings that he has surrounded himself with may choose to blindly follow him into the abyss, but we did not even have a choice, The new leader of the conservative party may believe that he has all the answers, but we can see the reality of this buffoon's self deception.

Too dangerous to be in control of this country.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/07/eu-rebuffs-johnson-showdown-looms-brexit-190726070914871.html EU rebuffs Johnson as Brexit showdown looms Bozo Boris, the new leader of the Conservative party, maintains that we shall leave the EU on the 31st October and adds, with or without a "deal". The indications are, certainly today, that there is no new or revised deal on the cards. This means that the UK will crash out of the EU and fall into the chaotic mess that will result. The dullard Johnson must be stopped either by the remaining voices of sanity in the Commons or by mass protests on the streets from ordinary people or a combination of both. This buffoon and his cabal of sycophants is too dangerous to be in control of this country. The loose cannon must be stopped before he brings this country and its people to their knees. Revoke Article 50 now, and hold a general election.

This country is now being governed by a collection of Boris Johnson cronies and sycophants

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/24/boris-johnson-takes-his-revenge-and-sacks-over-half-the-cabinet Boris Johnson takes his revenge and sacks over half the cabinet. Good Lord, what has this country now descended to? In a "Day of the Long Knives" the leader of the conservative party, Tweedle Dumber, has culled a substantial number of the cabinet and replaced them with cronies and sycophants who will all do the leaders bidding, certainly in respect of Brexit if nothing else.(Apart from Brexit, what other issue does this buffoon actually have?) A collection of  groupies sprinkled with expense fiddlers, (even though  they may have apologised and paid back part of their claims), people carrying out unauthorised involvement in secret meetings with the Israeli government, assorted unqualified MP's rewarded for "loyalty" rather than ability all now rushing lemming like towards the precipice of no deal Brexit and dragging the rest of the c...

The Sergeants Affair. July 1947

The Sergeants  Affair In July of 1947, Jewish Terrorist of the Irgun (Etzel) kidnapped two British Army Intelligence Corps NCOs, Sergeant Clifford Martin and Sergeant Mervyn Paice. In what became known as the "Sergeants affair", the two NCO's were subsequently murdered and their bodies were left hanging in a government forestry reserve between Nathanya and Tel Zur. The bodies had been booby trapped, which injured another British officer as they were cut down.

Not in my name

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/boris-johnson-mocked-clapping-like-18669184 Boris Johnson mocked for 'clapping like a seal' as he is named as new Prime Minister NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Boris (the buffoon) Johnson has been elected as leader of the Conservative party with just 92,153 of the conservative party members voting for him. This equates to 0.13% of the British population.By the vagaries of the British electoral system, Tweddle Dumber, the racist, sexist and homophobic dunderhead, prone to gaffs and stupid actions moves into number 10 Downing Street, where he will be called Prime Minister. He replaces Theresa May in that role wher e she too was installed by "coronation", on election unopposed. Both May and Johnson, have no legitimacy as Prime Minister as there has been no mandate from the British people by way of a general election. Only 92,153 people voted for Johnson and the rest of us, all 46.8 million, were not even asked. He may be Pri...

The coalition of reactionaries must not be allowed to win

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/19/jewish-leaders-accuse-labour-of-letting-off-antisemites Jewish leaders accuse Labour of 'letting off' antisemites We must not allow the coalition of reactionaries who are now hammering the anti Corbyn anti Labour party message, to prevail over the vast majority of Labour party members. From the House of Lords, through the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the Jewish Leadership Council, the Jewish Labour Movement, and other outside pressure groups, certain members of the Parliamentary Labour Party and individual within the party generally, orchestrated and encouraged by the media with Sky News and BBC at the front, these forces are all shouting the same message that Corbyn must go and that the Labour party must change course. We must fightback. They must not be allowed to win. Having at last found their most effective means of criticism and after many attempts to overthrow the leadership with other tactic...

The "dream team" of the anti Labour anti Corbyn conspiracy. Whistle blowers retain Mark Lewis.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/13/whistleblowers-to-sue-labour-as-antisemitism-row-deepens Whistle-blowers  to sue Labour as antisemitism row deepens Two of the "whistle-blowers" trotted out by the Panorama programme last week, are suing the Labour party because they believed the party had defamed them in its response to their claims. It is interesting to note that the pair have instructed the prominent media lawyer Mark Lewis to act on their behalf. Lewis who now lives in Israel with partner Mandy Blumenthal, has a remarkably chequered career having been subject of a formal complaint to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), and also a Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found that Lewis had sent “offensive and profane messages”, including a number of “death-wishes”, and he was ordered to pay a fine of £2,500 and £10,000 in costs. It should come as no surprise to anyone that this solicitor has been retained by Sam Matthews and Louise Wi...

Skulking behind a cloak of hypocrisy.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/labour-mps-say-panorama-heartbreaking-17891155 Labour MPs say Panorama 'heartbreaking' as party brand it 'not fair or balanced' On 28th June I wrote a piece under the heading of "They should at least be honest". I have always held the view that hypocrisy is an abhorrent feature of society, which should be condemned. However last night's Panorama had hypocrisy in spades. Almost from the start, film of John Mann hysterically berating Ken Livingstone about comments Livingstone had made in connection with Hitler and Zionism filled our screens. Although the hysterical Mann managed to ensure that he was always in shot, as he looked round to check that the camera was at the correct angle for him. What followed was a procession of "whistle blowers" lined up to give their stories, sometimes in lurid detail of how they were abused with antisemitic intimidation and how they were unable to conti...

A people betrayed

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jul/07/greeks-choose-between-beach-and-ballot-in-first-post-debt-bailout-poll Landslide victory for centre-right New Democracy. I n January of 2015, the people of Greece went to the polls and elected Syriza under its leader Alexis Tsipras. This was against the background of an economy crippled by austerity inflicted under the ruling coalition of New Democracy and its partner Pasok. The austerity measures imposed on Greece came from European bankers, the IMF, the German government and from Brussels and had been in place for many months. One bail out loan after another attracted even more severe austerity measures driving the Greek economy even further into the ground. The arrival of Syriza and Alexis Tsipras, promised an end to this ongoing lunacy imposed by he TROIKA , and within hours of Syriza winning the election, Alexis Tsipras said, ""The verdict of the Greek people ends, beyond any doubt, the vicious circle of auste...

Gordon, let us have some firm proposals rather than empty rhetoric.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jul/05/labour-fight-antisemitism-radical-racism Labour’s fight against antisemitism must be far more radical. says Gordon Brown Gordon Brown enters the debate on "antisemitism" in the Labour party writing an article under the headline of "Labour’s fight against antisemitism must be far more radical" and stating " we must take stronger action". Again a "senior Labour party figure" jumps in with the we must do more rhetoric, but then writes a long article which fails to address what we should do. It is all too easy to bleat on about not doing enough, but to then fail to state what we should do is a gross abdication of political argument. Brown does make some wild and unfounded allegations regarding some social media comments suggesting that only antisemites post messages. " These messages are not appearing by accident: they are specifically designed by antisemites to lure people into...

Hundreds of businesses bankrupt and thousands of people out of work is a "price worth paying" for Brexit. Says Jeremy Hunt.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jun/30/jeremy-hunt-i-would-tell-bust-businesses-no-deal-brexit-was-worth-it Jeremy Hunt would tell bankrupt firms their sacrifice was worth it. As many people reading this post will already know, I voted to leave at the referendum. What I did not do, was vote to leave at any price. Over recent months, I have shifted to the view that we actually have no reasonable option, other than to remain as part of the EU, albeit that the EU is in need of radical reform and we should be part of that reform process. The question of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is insoluble if we leave the European Union and to leave without a "deal" the so called "Hard Brexit" would devastate industry and jobs in this country for decades to come. The loss of working peoples rights, the free movement of labour and the access to the free market economy of the EU or even the loss of rights for EU citizens li...
