Sajid Javid knocked out in fourth round of Tory leadership race.
The plot thickens. The Conservative nonentity Sajid Javid is knocked out of the leadership contest, collecting a measly 34 votes. Of the remaining three candidates another 1 will be eliminated this afternoon, leaving just two names to go onto the ballot paper to be circulated to conservative party members. Interestingly, there were two spoilt ballot papers in this mornings round and it would be nice to know who those Tory MP's actually were and whether there will be more spoilt papers this afternoon.

Perhaps the conservative MP's have shot themselves in the foot by eliminating Rory Stewart yesterday, leaving these four, now three, imbeciles to "fight it out" for the big prize. Not that Stewart would been any better than those still in the contest, but at least he told the truth in respect of Brexit stating that his rivals are making promises that they cannot keep.
We now move on towards the final showdown. We should still demand that the new conservative leader holds a general election to restore legitimacy to the role of Prime Minister.
