Labour's day of turmoil
There seems to be a sniff of a General election in the air. Today's media led by the Mail, Telegraph, (who else) and eagerly taken up by Sky News, are churning out the anti Corbyn rhetoric on everything from second referendum and Brexit , European election results, through expulsion of Alistair Campbell to dragging up the old "antisemitism" chestnut again to discredit Labour in general and Corbyn in particular.
It is as if the order had secretly gone out from the establishment and Central Office to start the smears and disinformation warfare now in order to prevent a Corbyn led government at any cost. One of the Conservative wannabe leaders appeared on television the other day and was asked about calling a General election. He responded that a Corbyn led government would be a disaster for the country. The interviewer responded with the present government "are not doing well either are they". The wannabe declined to comment. It seems clear to me that the Conservatives are lining up for an election and that they will go to any lengths to stop Labour. We can expect even more hysterical nonsense and even more nastiness from the media and their friends over the next few months as the campaign of hatred and vitriol against intensifies.
