Theresa May tells Tory MP's they can SCRAP deal with Labour at later date
"This is because no Parliament can bind its successor." says Theresa May. I can understand that. What I do not understand is why Labour, at this time, should even contemplate agreeing a "deal" with a Prime Minister who has demonstrated over recent years, that she cannot be trusted, has been less than honest with her cabinet and even her own party, has established time after time, an obsessive determination to "press on" with her own agenda, regardless of consequent for others. For Labour to make any "deal" with her now, would only be to support her tenuous grip on power in the same way that she bought the support of the DUP with £1.5 Billion to prop up her government. She has already said the any "deal" with the Labour party is only to progress the "Brexit Deal" through the Commons and could be torn up and thrown away the next day.
Labour must avoid entering any agreement with the Prime Minister on this basis. We must avoid Theresa May and her cynical schemes to achieve her own ends, like a contaminated cesspit which it surely is.
